I just heard from a friend who works at PATS aircraft in Georgetown, Delaware that they announced layoffs today. Not sure how many or if it's blue/white collar. My friend blames it on the economy. They do very high end planes for billionaires and the leaders of countries. Here is the official website.

I was due to the fact that the subsidiary companies supplying PATS with the parts they need to assemble the interiors could not meet their schedule. Not enough wire harnessses, furniture, electronics, etc. to install= not enough work for PATS employees.
It was really dur to the fact their Interior business is going down and undder the old regime the built way to many fuel tanks than Boeuing needed. Our supplies had nothing to do with it. Other than wanting to be paid on time! In the past 6 months they have shut down the fullnight shift,laid off half of the tank shop had at least 20 whote collar workers quit,with no replacements and on Thursady laid off another 15-20 people.Both blue and white collar workers.Since the got bought out they are lsoing money and workers!!
