Covered Bridge Right Here In Maryland

I couldn't help but stop the car on our way home from Easton and take this shot of a Covered Bridge just off Rt. 50. Again, just a little piece of local history for this Blogger.

Gosh How pretty. Where exactly is it?

It's Easton Barracks of the State Police. Its off of the eastbound lane and is farely new. The bridge is less than 15 years old. There is a small creek that runs under it. I do not believe it passable for cars and I am pretty sure it on private property.

I think that is part of an old railroad right of way. I seem to remember seeing those abutments in the 70's

Anonymous 8:17 PM is correct. The bridge is part of the former Chesapeake and Atlantic that ran from Clayton Delaware to New Oxford Maryland. The bridge crosses Peachblossom Creek behind the Toyota dealership south of Easton. The roof on the bridge is new. The bridge itself has been there for sometime.
