Don't forget that Comegys will have the support ($$$) of landlords and developers plus the Chamber of Commerce/Bellaciccio/Alessi crowd that was the core of Louise Smith's campaign and the Daily Times, too. Any opponent will have an uphill fight.

You are right about Bassett and the Daily Slime -- there was nothing said in the election last year about the fact that Comegys went bankrupt or about his child support shenanigans, and no mention of hs John Edwards episode in the divorce court.
