UPDATE, STOP!
BEFORE I have just been informed that the Stop Sign posted earlier this morning has been removed and is being relocated back further. How many people do YOU think are following Salisbury News now? AFTER
I'd like to know who designed, and better yet, who approved that traffic striping and signage plan. "Lets put a sign 3 inches off the travel lane." Good one.
Hey- can we put a story on the front page about the prostitution problem? Maybe some pictures of a transaction or two? Perhaps then they'll start cleaning up north 13...
Sometimes all it takes is a call to the proper authority, in this case SHA, to let them know of a situation like this, wheras the developer/contractor didn't do things correctly. You would be suprised some of the things that contractors who dont know what they are doing try and do. You also might be suprised to find out answers to other questions you may have. You may also find that sometimes what you hear isn't necessarily the way it is. You also may find that most agencies you contact are real people just like you and me who do have a genuine desire to do a good job.
808 we're talking about SHA admin, District 1 to be precise. That stripping was not contracted out, they do all their own stripping.
430 you do the stakeout, get the footage or stills. It can't hurt. It wont stop the hookers but I'll bet a few businessmen in this town will find other means of entertainment, real fast.
