This is the busiest "cookout" weekends of the summer due to July 4th. Where's the best place to buy local produce? Are the prices reasonable? Do you buy from Farmer's Markets?

This year a few neighbors and I started a community garden.
We planted tomatoes, peppers, letter, eggplants, brussel sprouts, onions, garlic artichokes, corn, beens, radishes, squash, zukes, brocolli, artichokes, and many types of herbs.
Things are getting ready to come off now. I didn't have the room for melons, and pumkins, I really wanted them but Oh well.
While the veggies are organically raised, you don't get everything for a salad or any particular recipe off and ready for eating at the same time. So I still go to the store or the produce stand to get what I need.
My two favorites are ...The one at T's corner in VA at the 13 and Chicoteague Road, behind the gas station. And the on on 13 N. about 1 mile before you reach 'How Sweet it Is'. This guys prices are very reasonalbe and his produce is always good.
If you feel like picking head down the Crisfield Road from Pocomoke just past Sysco, and you can pick apples, peaches, strawberries, greens, all kinds of great stuff. They also make their own cider which is delicious.
But if I'm just running to the store I go to Sysco Cash and Carry.
There produce price are 1/2 of what they are in the grocery store.
Potatoes .39 lb, onions .39lb. Romain lettuce .98 head.
You can't beat their prices on any of their produce, and they do support local farmers, by carrying their goods.
i like the herb gardens the best.
