Salisbury City Park Fishing Derby
Four generations of fishermen came to this tournament in Salisbury this past weekend, (1st photo above) to enjoy a beautiful day in the City Park. I didn't see any local politicians there at all, which made it even nicer. Nevertheless, it truly was a great event and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

this is such a great event. My 4 year-old son reeled-in 2 fish (his first ever) and we both had a wonderful time. I thank the organizers and volunteers who did such an excellent job. The music was appreciated (especially because it wasn't a radio station blaring commercials at us)and the free hot dogs, sodas, and t-shirts were nice. The park and all the folks involved in this event rock. Les
what a wonderful small town way to let the kids have fun, two thumbs up for all the people who donated their time, your good people the world needs more of you. childhood memories last a lifetime.
Boy was it hot!!! My two year old wanted to jump in the river something fierce! terrible shame that it is so dirty that you can't do that. My daughter and my father in law reeled in her first fish ever, about a 6 1/2 inch Crappie. A fantastic day. I do wish that they had allowed a larger area for the kids to fish in, though- the kids were right on top of each other.
