BARRIE TO CITY RESIDENTS: I WANT MORE TAXES!

Maybe we will get her "food tax" after all -- see this:

OFFICE OF THE MAYOR

To: John R. Pick
From: Loré L. Chambers, MBA
Subject: MML – Legislative Action Requests
Date: May 29, 2008

The City of Salisbury is requesting consideration be included by MML in their
2009 Legislative Action Request as follows:

“The City of Salisbury requests that the General Assembly pass legislation in
FY 2009 to establish a study commission in FY 2010, to look into and report its
findings on municipal government revenue structures, to reduce the reliance on
property taxes.”

Attached is a resolution for City Council action to endorse the requests for
legislative action.

Please forward the attached resolution and supporting detail for inclusion on
the Council’s June 9. 2008, agenda.

Question: since when did Ms. Chambers get this authority -- why isn't this memo
from Barrie Tilghman?

Good question Joe. It may be that the queen doesn't want to appear to be working for the tax payer or perhaps there is planned some other kind of tax that would cost us more and give her more. Sorry, but I just don't trust these people to do what is right for the tax payer. Why should they? They never have in the past!

Why does she put MBA after her name? I hate it when people dp that. It is a degree, not a certification.

Does it matter if it is a degree or a certification? Can you show us what is proper procedure for putting initials behind someones name.

John Doe, MD? Is that a certification or a degree? It is a degree!!! Even though she is a worthless POS don't be jealous of Ms. Chambers because she has the credentials and you don't.

In the real world, the degree initials after your name are reserved for degrees that are associated with a professional license (ex. MD, JD, MSW, all state-licensed positions).

An MBA is NOT a professional designation. Therefore it IS
purely a sign of arrogance.

By the way, I do have an MBA. I bought one from Salisbury just like her.
