THANK YOU, “STU” LEER

Mr. Leer’s presentation during public comment at the recent meeting of the Salisbury City Council is just what the doctor ordered to remedy the ridiculous mess called the Historic District Commission. But his more significant public service is the r discussion of his conversation in which Barrie Tilghman vowed to get even with him because he had supported her opponent in an election.

Mr. Leer is certainly not the only person that Barrie has pledged and then proceeded to attack and harm by her official conduct. Unfortunately, most not desire – or cannot afford – to stand up against her conduct in public or, as Mr. Leer has done on several occasions, in court. It takes courage and, usually, money to do that.

Thanks, again, Mr. Leer, for putting the spotlight where is belongs.

In terms of her style and ethics as an elected official Barrie Tilghman is the combination of Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. A DNA comparison could be quite revealing, genetically speaking.

May I, too, thank Mr. Leer for his courage in standing up to our joke of a mayor, Barrie. I admire Leer for doing this and ask only that he continue to attend meetings and speak. He says what so many City taxpayers already know: Barrie has been the most disasterous leadership this city has had in its history. We (and our grandchildren) will be paying for her mistakes for generations.

Kudos to Mr. Leer and welcome to the Dirty Dozen.

No one, even a landlord, should have to go through what MR. Leer went through. Those responsible should be held accountable. But we know what “accountable” means to the city....... Nothing! Way to go Barrie, Randy and Paul.....

Mr. Leer has renovated and maintained a number of properties in the Camden district. They are well maintained and he is attentive to their upkeep. Any issues found during my home safety inspections were quickly corrected. He saved a large turn of the century rooming house that was extensively burned in November of 1999. Within months the house was as beautiful as ever. I appreciate what he has done to preserve the Camden district.

9:18 -- Mr. Leer is the first of the Dirty Dozen.

8:49 -- Looks like Bubba Comegys only got Nixon's genes, Louise Smith got some weasel genes and Shameless got to many genes to fit her jeans.

Randy Taylor is a real disgrace, but he's an amateur compared to Richard Insley and the Housing Appeals Board. The situation at 430 Pennsylvania Avenue is a perfect case in point.

I'm glad Mr. Leer spoke at the meeting and stood up to the crooked Mare. I know so many people that would like to do what he did but are scared of retaliation and don't have the money to take on the witch in court. Mr. Leer thank you from a bunch of people who are thankful for what you have done.

I agree with most of the comments. Stu Leer is a prince of a guy to stand up to the corruption that goes on in this city under the current administration!

Very Commendable!
Mr. Leer has done an amazing job revitalizing the Camden district, and it is his determination and hard work that are respected within this town!
May he continue to stand up to the many disasterous decisions that have been made!
