Great question! My Wife and I are opposites. I'm a registered Republican and she's a Democrap. LOL
However, she too votes with what she believes in and who's right for the job.
Whenever I post something STUPID about Hillary, yes, it bothers her because she feels too many people are ganging up on the broad but she respects the fact that this is my Blog and as often as I can discourage anyone from being so stupid as to think of voting for that woman/terrorist I'll do so, that's my right.
All that being said, I don't like any of the three main choices right now, so don't think I'm simply all over Hillary. Has she dropped out of the race yet?
I enjoy our differences of opinion and enjoy healthy conversations when they arise.
My husband and I are both 'conservative' but he's from CA, and I'm from the DC area, and in 'old-school' politics, that is like saying he is a Dem and I'm a Republican. His family are all total bleeding heart liberals, and mine up-tight right wing conservatives. I consider myself a Libertarian. I think the government is far too large and it's out of control. Because he is the conservative in his family he is the 'black sheep'. It's not a major issue in our home, and both of my adult children are Libertarians as well.
This will be the first year ever we agree about who to vote for, Usually I vote for the Democrat but unless it is hillary NFW will I vote for Obama. What is truly disturbing is the fact so many college kids have blindly accepted Obama and all his distortions. The same age kids that have poor judgement to vandalize property without considering the consequences. There is a must read "the truth vs. Barack Obama" on the blog savagepolitics.com--please read before casting a vote for Obama .
I purposely am not registered in a political party; however, I have always considered myself an independent conservative- perhaps Libertarian of sorts. My ex-wife is a Democrat Kool-Aid drinker, and I can say it is certainly one of the reasons we got divorced. I had a hard time sharing my life with somebody that didn't share the same fundamental beliefs as me. I thought I could handle it going in, but it got to be too much.
My new wife is Republican all the way, and things run much smoother in my house these days.
He's a R and I'm a D, and although we probably cancel each other out, we still vote every time the poll's are open. On the local offices we can sometimes agree on a person regardless of their party affiliation, but national elections are always opposite. We can always claim that one of us won!
Hubby and I are both registered R. We see eye to eye on most everything political. In fact, we agree on most everything that one is able to have an opinion. In life, you should pick a mate based on the similar beliefs in religion and politics and life will be less bumpy!

Hubby is Republican and I am Democrat. So no, we can not talk about it.
We argue about it. Then we laugh.

Wife and I are both Green Party members, so we agree most of the time.
