Salisbury Police Press Releases

On April 2, 2008 at approximately 10:16 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Hunan Delight restaurant on E. College Avenue for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the store management and ownership and were advised that minutes earlier, three (3) unknown suspects had entered the restaurant. The suspects approached the counter, then below listed suspect # 1 moved to the rear of the counter and confronted the store manager. Suspect # 1 produced a handgun and took an amount of U.S. Currency from the restaurant. The three (3) suspects then fled from the restaurant. There were no injuries, and the suspects are described as:

1. Black male, 20-25 years of age, 5’05”, medium build, wearing a white shirt and a green face mask.

2. Black male, 20-25 years of age, 5’05”, wearing a dark green shirt, dark pants, and a green face mask.

3. Black male, 20-25 years of age, 6’00”, also wearing a green face mask.

On April 2, 2008 at approximately 11:55 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the area of Smith St. in Salisbury for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, the officers met with a victim who advised that earlier while walking on Smith St., the victim had been confronted by two (2) suspects. The suspects struck the victim with their fists, then took an amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was able to provide the officers with a physical description of the suspects which led to the apprehension of the suspect listed below. The U.S. Currency was recovered, and the investigation is continuing.
