Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., will introduce his recommended candidate to become the county’s new Health Officer next Tuesday. The introduction will come in conjunction with a previously scheduled years-of-service recognition ceremony at 3:00 P.M. on April 8th at the County Health Department.
The County Council is expected to consider ratifying the candidate at its next regular meeting. Final approval for the Health Officer appointment lies with the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
