OBX Pics

The picture with the channel marker is a good 50ft away from the water. Looks like a storm blew it into the growth.

Nick, that place looks like a great place to look for Indian artifacts during a low tide. Look for old oyster and clam shells buried in the washed out eroded banks, that is an old Indian garbage pit and close to a camp site.

Sometimes they are sitting right on top of the sand completely exposed, other times you have to have a keen eye for them. It's like catching your first fish, you're hooked! Good Luck~!

It's desolation reminds me of Watts Island out near Tangier Island. I know of literally thousands of artifacts found there. Have a couple myself.

Tim...

I've haven't gotten to the ocean yet, spent my time on the sound...its like the Bay down home...i was gonna go kayaking, but the wind was too strong...

fishing is not on yet because of the temp, only a few fish here and there are in...i cant wait to kill bluefish in the OC inlet this summer...

I actually was layin out on the bay this morning and sand pipers came within feet of me, but scattered when they heard my camera, got a good pic of them in flight though...

The best thing about the area is the minimal amount of trash...bout what u get where I'm at is flotsam and jetsam and an occasional plastic bottle
