City auditor Herb Geary must have been dropping acid. Obviously, since Shields states that the Finance Department is doing such a great job, they couldn't have misplaced all of that money.

I think we all realize Shanie does not walk in a finance directors shoes, that's a given. However, for her to sit there and say "I don't want to see the taxpayers asking why... is absolutely, positively correct. She, nor the mayor, Comegys or Smith want anyone to ask why.
Hold on Shanie, there will be more questions coming that ask more than WHY.
Shanie's days on the council are numbered anyhow. She is just as incompentent on her personal financial affairs as she is on the city's.
It doesn't sound as if Shanie will be going on the speakers' circuit any time soon. If anyone can butcher the King's English, it is she!

At least she didn't blame the misplaced 10 million on sparkling confligrations caused by the ovarianness of the statueation.
Has Ms. Shields ever worked a job in the private sector anywhere? Has she ever drawn a real paycheck ? Has she seen her lifestyle diminished by too much government? Or has she and her constituents fed off the carcass of the public for too long. You know I almost feel sorry for her. To be that ignorant and to be in a public position must be scary at best. But to be ignorant and arrogant at the same time damns her to oblivian. It is one thing to be woefully stupid, another to be stupid and a thief. If the true criminals were placed in prisons Shields would now be in an 8 by 10 sharing the gruel she so richly deserves with crack whores and devients.
