Joe,
You are always looking at how tax payers money is spent/wasted. I have something for you to research, shall you see the need.
I just left a local seafood place in Salisbury and why did several people purchase expensive seafood with their Independence Card (AKA: welfare)?
I am in total support of providing low income people with funds so they can eat and live. I have seen this happen at grocery stores as well. The people could have bought hamburgers, hot dogs, ham, or other less expensive meet, instead they throw a pack of steaks or ribs on the counter.
Why are the taxpayers paying for these people to eat expensive seafood, steaks and other expensive items? It happens everyday in the stores, just watch the next time your waiting in line.
It's so bad, I was at a convenience store last month and woman with a young child attempted to buy 2 sodas, 2 donuts and a handful of candy bars. However, she became irate when the cashier told her they don't take independence cards. So the evil lady told her kid she couldn't buy the items for her, yet she bought herself that soda.
