When Was The Last Time The Rules Of Governing Were Broken?

As I recall, there were some custom made brackets manufactured without the Council's approval too?

It clearly shows that Chief See & Gordy have absolutely No Respect whatsoever toward the Salisbury City Council and the process in which we're supposed to be governed.

Perhaps we'll see a new $800,000.00 Fire Boat in their new back parking lot before we know it?

Vote for Barrie Tilghman for more of the same.

Who paid for the brackets?

The Taxpayers. They were made WELL before the Council was even approached about them. It was Gordy & See's little secret.

Oh my Joe...... What else you complain about.

Go find a job!

Tell me something.. If you hate Salisbury so much why dont you sell your building and be done with them? So easy to do?

Maybe its because you like the attention!

If YOU hate me and this Blog so much, why don't YOU move? Oh, that's right, the Anti Albero Blogs have all flopped, I forgot.

Well, there's always Old Man Duvall's Blog. You could go play there.

As for my selling my building, everyone knows I bought that just to piss off the Mayor. Heck, it's not even occupied. Why should I help the City raise MORE taxes? The way I see it is, it's paid for, insured and it's not hurting anybody. That is, unless you're the Mayor.

It's my small donation towards the Mayor, assuring less economic & development until she's out of Office.

Now, go back to your Trailer in the County and be sure to save up all that dough for that new 4x4 you're paying for. You know, the one that's all jacked up, makes lots of noise and you need a ladder to get in it because you're only 4' 5" tall/short.

and how tall are you? You are as wide as you are tall!

You pussy!

I'm not as fat as your leaders. I'm taller and I'm in much better shape.

The funniest part is, you're lead around by those guys like a puppet on a string.

Yeah, you don't bother me one little bit.

Well if your in such great shape why are you scared to go into a charity boxing match with others?

To anonymous (at 8:24) who used the f word profanity and veiled threat--I don't come here to read your sh__. If you want to do that, do as Joe suggests and go to Duvall's blog. Rag on Joe all you want to there. If anyone ever suggested "i hope a fireman puts a bullet in our head" (sic) to me, I'd not only come after them myself first, I'd call the F.B.I. in on it too. Use of cyberspace for threats has been found to be illegal in some areas. My guess is it will take a Supreme Court ruling to make it an enforceable federal offense.

You guys are missing the point here.

This isn't about the FD per se. It's about the administration hauling off and doing things, then coming to the council for approval.

People I've talked to are okay with a new station, but they're P.O.'d about the price tag. Ten mil is like a quarter of the city's entire budget, I think.

So, try to shed the thin skin and look at what the real issue is.

Cohen hit some good points about this crap of "do/spend first, then get approval after" on Reddish's show yesterday.

Where the hell is that all that accountability Louise Smith talked if the council is just a rubber stamp mechanism?

I think that the thing that needs to be done is that an OUTSIDE accounting firm come in, with law enforcement and a subpoena if necessary, get the books, memos, and minutes of the council meetings and figure out how much of our hard-earned money is being pissed away by this bunch. The city might be able to hide some of it, but they can't find it all.

Next, they need to get MDE and OSHA over to the WWTP and do a thorough inspection and investigation into what has and is going on over there. Los Federales might find some interesting things if they look hard enough.
