Take A Wild GUESS Where I Was At Taking These Photos?

The first photo, (although dark) shows 3 ambulances in one location. So Am I parked at Station 16? Then there's the Suburban & Crown Vic, still think I'm at Station 16? Pickup Trucks, trailers, glow stick reflections in the last picture, that would be the strips on Fire Fighters jackets.

While many of you were sitting at home cuddling up to a warm fire and watching TV, it seems the entire Fire Department, paid and volunteers were parked BEHIND a building directly on the river hiding their vehicles. That is, until they found out Joe Albero was there. All if a sudden the sound of diesel engines were in harmony and vehicles were flying out of there like 9-11 all over again.

Yes, the entire Fire Department was there to watch the Boat Parade. Now I can see why these guys want a new Boat. It's NOT because they want to top anyone there. It's because it takes some 40 Fire Men to unload and load their boat onto its trailer. My God guys, if I would have only known! LOL

Seriously though, these guys/gals deserve a break like everyone else and last night they took some time out to enjoy the parade. Who's my MOLE now Chiefy?

W 40 fire men to load and unload a boat that was in the boat parade? Where exactly was the trailer this boat was launched from and hooked back up to. Im pretty confident that the boat you saw in the parade started at the marina after herlines were unhooked and ended at the marine with the lines secured to her in a slip.
But hey its your blog make it up as you go.
The parade was very nice. Fairly decent turn out also.

OK Dee, Dee, Deeee, look at the 4th photo on this Post. SEE THE BOAT TRAILER BEHIND THE FIRE PICKUP TRUCK?

Now go back to work and have a nice day.

I've even added a new photo so everyone could clearly see the truck and trailer. WHY is this City in such DENIAL about anything and everything? The Fire Department had a Boat in the Parade, period.

Joe I believe that is Allens truck and trailer in your pictures. Hence the yellow color and Allen on the side.

I understand that. What I was showing was the multitude of Salisbury Rescue Vehicles and SFD Staff there. The JOKE was how many SFD Fire Fighters does it take to load a Boat? ANY Boat, respectfully.

That is funny you are complaining of all the personel there. I hardly doubt there were fourty firefighters there. I am glad to see Allen Fire Comapny was represented last night seeing how for the past couple of years along with Salisbury boats they have help patrol the waters of the river during the parade. I can imagine that marine 1 and marine 16 were in the water . The only reason the boats were there was to ensure the safety of all those participating in the parade and for those watching. I am glad to see the duty crew out an about with the public.

ROTFLMAO! That's just too funny and allow me to explain why. Last night one of the boats ran a shore into some marsh. The Eden, NOR SFD was there to help them! I believe it was DNR that pulled them back out and that was told to me by Mike Lewis. Nice try though.

Oh, for pete's sake, can anybody take a little joke any more?

I got it.

Note that Albero ended with "these guys deserve a break."

Did seem kind of wasteful to have that much apparatus down there, but maybe they wanted to be ready to head off to a call.

At any rate, nobody ought to get that upset about this post unless their skin is like an onion's outer layer.

The photographs of the yellow vehicle and trailer are that of the Allen Volunteer Fire Company, Station 15's Brush 15 and Marine 15. The boat and two members left Wicomico Yacht Club for the parade and were picked at the end of the parade up by another member at the ramp in Salisbury. Brush 15 and trailer were in quarters until such time as the parade was over.

That was only the duty crew present. A/C , three medic units and an engine crew. And the equipment was there to respond on calls since they were working.

If they were ready to respond on calls why weren't they in their assigned stations? Playtime like this causes a delay in response so it is not acceptable for all of this apparatus to be out of their respective districts.

If the units/personell were need then off duty personell or volunteers should have been assigned to this event. God forbid someone to stop breathing on the other end of the city.

Poor leadership displayed in the Salisbury Fire Department again. When is this going to end?

The staff assigned to the boat were off-duty. The other units were ready to respond to calls if dispatched. As far as being out of their respective districts they were actually in the best place to possible to respond being at 5 points they could respond to any district rapidly.

Anonymouus or Joe,
Assigned stations? Were they not two or three blocks away from the station? Do you really know how the operations of the City of Salisbury FD works? Now I am not a member of the SFD and will be the first to admit I do not 100% agree with the SFD. However this is just nonsense to say they should be at there station which is less than a mile away. To compain that there are 3 ambulances and a fire engine at a public gathering is also nonsense. Its good publicity to show the FD supports its community. Also statitics show that when there are more people in any giving area the volume of calls is more likel to be higher. EX: The FDNY runs more calls then the Powellville FD. If you were at the parade, be happy. If something happened to you the response time would of been very fast. Just smile, do not complain.

Let me explain something to you, "Just Smile."

I, unlike you, am a MAN who uses MY NAME and I don't hide behind anonymous or a pansy assed name like "Just Smile." That being said, don't you ever accuse "ME" of trying to post comments without using my real name.

I just can't believe you Idiots actually believe there aren't a multitude of people out there outraged with the confirmed behavior of some from the SFD. Anyhow, I have said my peace.

Uhhh!!! If they were in the best place to respond then why didn't Gordo, Fatso and See place that $10million plus super station at 5 points???? If that is the best location then why is there 3 stations? With your logic only one station is necessary and the city is wasting millions of dollars a year in taxes.

Actually i do believe the property could have been there but, obviously somebody dropped the ball. Whether it was previous admin. or the current one who knows. I was not trying to say Salisbury only needs one station however I was just saying that the nits could respond to theri respective districts quick if alerted.

i see after all this it looks like Lorenzo Cropper has left SFD. he is no longer listed on their website in any position or shift. he was training which now says vacant...rumor is he went to Ocean City to work

As of 9;30 this am LC is still with SFD

I see he was put back on the site under training LT, but when the training number was called it was said he was transferred so another area what ever that means, big mess with SFD...go figure
