OC Cops Lost?

Yesterday I watched this vehicle filled to the brim with people inside passing Sam's Club on Rt. 13 heading south. Well, at least they were car pooling. It reminded me of watching a regular daily SPD Vehicle doing it's normal rounds, filled with Officers because they have no spare vehicles. Too many Officers, not enough vehicles. Would that be caused by "Management?" Let's hire them because we need them but whoops, I forgot, we don't have any CARS! I wonder how many times you'll find a SPD vehicle in OC? Oh, that's right, I should say, a MARKED SPD Vehicle. There used to be a BLACK unmarked one at Seacrets all the time with a bald guy driving it, so I'm told. Was he lost too?

There is a good possibility that the OCPD car was heading to the race track in Delmar filled with recruits from the academy. The owners of the race track give the ESCJA use of the track so that the recruits can receive instruction on defensive driving tactics.

Didn't know that, grand dad.....what a great gesture on the part of the track owners!

Yea....they also use the parking lot of the County Stadium. I think the race track is for pursuit driving practicals.

What a great place to do their training and practicing. Safe, off the road, no chance of anything unexpected popping out at you other than possibly a deer.

All that being said, IF other Counties continue to offer Worcester County these things, why doesn't Worcester County pony up some cash for the Salisbury Zoo yearly?

Joe, agree totally! Finally I can say that!

The indication is that the offer was made by the owner of the track, not the county (which is Sussex, btw).

Grand Dad,
Route 13 south is NOT headed to Delmar RaceWay.

the other counties offer tuition and instructors in the police academy. Worcester County is one of the main sponsors. That's what the "Wor" in Wor-Wic stands for.

They could have been returning. Heading for the bypass??? Just guessing

Ok, so they are heading back to OC after leaving the track in Delmar, DE. Happy now?

To Anon @ 2:05pm: How do you expect them to get back to the Academy? Leave it alone and gain some sense...

If they were passing Sam's Club heading south, they could have been DONE at the track and heading back to catch the bypass.

If you want to know why the OCPD vehicle was in Salisbury, wouldn't it be easier to call them and ask?

wow people are dumb....there is a community college in salisbury that has a police academy at it....and cops do drive their cars to it LMAO...wow

They were at Wor-Wic all day for training. They were getting trained to be Field Training Officers. They were going back to Wor-Wic after lunch at the Chinese Buffet on Rt. 13.
