It's been a lot of years but after finding Gary Coleman as a security guard in Las Vegas we finally found Alfalfa from the Little Rascles.
When they started firing questions at last nights debate, you know, (the one Ron Alessi refused to attend) it was mainly fireman related questions and quite frankly, everyone started getting tired of them quickly!
There isn't enough time for such serious County related issues to simply debate about the Fire Departments wants and needs and they wasted a TON of time on issues the County Executive CANNOT fix or change anyway. Fortunately Charles Jannace brought that to their attention and things started to change.

This is generally the way sponsored forums have went. When I was at the NAACP forum the questions were slanted toward issues affecting the minority community, so I wasn't surprised that the questions last night had a lot to do with fire/EMS services.
I didn't get to attend the PACE forums - did many of their questions have to do with the educational system?
Actually I thought Mike did a pretty good job as moderator, especially being a partisan (he's on the Democrat Central Committee).
I do agree with you on turnout though, with as many volunteer firemen as there are within our midst that room should've been packed with 200 people. With at least 20-30 people being candidates, their surrogates, or bloggers it's only about 1/2 the folks who were there with open minds.

As I respect where we were and the fact that they asked the majority of questions NOT leaving enough time for the important ones and or the multitude of questions the audience had written down, the fact that there were next to ZERO Fire Fighters there, it was stupid! They needed to ask the IMPORTANT questions and NOT questions the County Executive has no power over! Forgive me if I seem somewhat aggressive here, it just ticks me off that these people are so lame.
I agree that Mike did in fact carry himself very well and very professional, I congratulate him. However, this is also the weasel that is running around with a New York Times article on Mike Lewis trying to slander him every opportunity he could publicly. That was NOT professional, it was very vindictive. I have very little respect for someone like that.
I think that will be enough for the Police to take over.

What's interesting to me here Jim is, similar to when you had a "gang" of people surround me at the Zoo recently, (false imprisonment) this is a "GANG" of motorcycle riders, not one. I have many e-mail messages as well as posts I've copied on here that clearly show this is far more than one person. I didn't say I was Superman but I will agree, I am much more of a man than you'll ever pretend to be and I can prove of such by simply stating you can read my real name here.

Mrs. Albero- these are not attacks, just observations. And to use such heavy words as "torture" and "infantile attacks" is going a little overboard. Its not torture to post here, its debate. To answer your question, as paranoid as it might apear, it is VERY easy to use multiple names here and Jim Rapp does just that, it's that simple.
My Wife is not claiming all of these people are the same people as we know some of them are other people like shootfromthehip.

Fer whatever an ole dog's opinion is worth, I can tell HistoricalWit is not an "anti-Albero."
He's gotten whipped on in these blogs fer his more liberal political views, but he's had some good comments 'bout local stuff.
And yeah, from time t'time, folks are gonna disagree with ya, Mr. A., or give ya some suggestions on doin' yer blog. That's a compliment, really, that they think ya got enough good stuff goin' here that it deserves bein' even better.
Not everyone's gonna put it as nicely as ya'd like, but they're just bein' as blunt as ya're 'bout the Mayor and all. Direct-like.
I can pret-well tell when yer gettin' a real attack as 'pposed t'when yer just gettin' disagreement or well-intended criticism. I think most folks can, too.
We can't all be golden-voiced dogs. Some of us, no matter how cute and fluffy we are, just sound yappy.
I think the stuff ya been puttin' out on the mall, the WWTP, the police horses, and real issues has been really great, and I thank ya fer it.
