Another Business Bites The Dust In Salisbury!

This Royal Farms on Old Ocean City Road closed its doors for good recently and gave no customers any notice. They had recently renovated the location with new gas tanks and friends told me they were doing a great business when they shut their doors. Barrienomics is starting to effect the entire City and as she refuses to give everyone else million dollar TIF's they're just going to continue shutting down and going away. How many jobs have been lost in the past few months in Salisbury Barrie?

I don't buy that Iyeska. There's a TON of Townhouses and residential hjomes in that area and that's exactly how the 7-11 chain started out and made their fortune. Most of the 7-11's didn't have the luxury of gas pumps either. Not enough proffit and high wages usually kill a business. Medicare, taxes, insurance & theft play another huge roll in the failure of these local businesses. People are so afraid of local leadership that they're afraid to go to people like Dunn and Barrie for help. They'd rather close their doors and lose everything and I can't blame them.

It probably didn't help that the Bank of Delmarva branch across the street closed up as well, it's now right along Route 50 at Beaglin Park.

If the location was booming perhaps someone else will take advantage of it and start a new business.

I never knew they had a Tastee Freeze there. The only one I remember is the one on North Salisbury Blvd. by Dover St. Yes, they have good cheeseburgers. I would also get the frozen chocolate covered bananas.

Anyone remember the H&J that was located on the corner of US 13 & Zion Rd? It was kind of like the "Sonic" chains. I believe Towne Toyota is there now.

H&J had THE best milkshakes.
