Mounted Police Update

This evening before the City Council Work Session I asked Pam, (the City's Finance Director) what was up with these two horses and she replied, "Nothing has been decided yet."

I then said, it's my understanding there are 4 horses total. Are there going to be 2 or 4 horses going up for Auction? She replied, the City does have 4 horses and they are trying to decide exactly what's going to happen to all 4 horses.

I then said, well are there going to be 4 horses going up for Auction then? She replied, we are trying to decide what we're going to do with all 4 animals.

I then said, I don't want to sound like a pain here Pam but I heard two of these horses are supposed to go back to their original owners? She replied, there are 4 horses we're trying to make decisions on and we have yet to make any decisions and there is no Auction date set as of yet. Sound familiar?

All of this follows a two week wait for answers towards these animals in which the Mayor assured me someone would get right back with me on an answer and once again there are no answers.

What I will say is, I was there, I spoke with Pam personally and it is my impression there will now be 4 horses going up for Auction. The Mayor despises these animals so badly that I'm sure she's going to do everything in her powers to make sure none of us are aware of their decision. That being said I am calling out to Debbie Campbell to please take this serious matter into her hands and get these answers for us? I have multiple letters from so many of these wonderful people who have had hands on experience with these horses and they are almost begging for answers.

Ron Alessi, Missing In Action

RON, CAN YOU HEAR ME?

WHERE ARE YOU RON????

As usual I was at the County Council Meeting this morning and the City Council Meeting/Work Session this evening and there was no sign of Ron Alessi? As usual the honorable Bob Culver is "always" at these important meetings but you'll never see Mr. Alessi attending such said meetings. He has clearly shown he not only doesn't give a crap about what goes on regularly in either the City or County, he does have the time to hide behind Radio Interviews and is certainly not the man he claims to be wanting to settle things between the Bloggers like a gentleman.

By the way Ron, can you explain how I'm not giving back to the Community if I attend each and every one of these events/meetings and you're never there? Some would say you need to start from the ground up. In your case you bypass all these meetings, have no experience or first hand knowledge towards what's going on in the County and you challenge me? Instead you go right to the executive level and bash all of us putting in our time? Bob Culver is there Ron, where have you been?

Maybe a surprise visit at your next event will settle our differences like gentlemen, right Ron?

Dear Fellow Bloggers

Dear Bill Duvall and Hadley,

Please check into a Corporation called Chesapeake Heating & Air. I came to learn this evening that Ron Alessi was the owner of this Company. It's also my understanding this company just recently folded while Ron had Tony Kurn, (his supposed partner) running the business for him. The Company had been up and running for the past 5 years and out of nowhere simply shut down. Enquiring minds want to know?

SAY GOODNIGHT GRACY!

As the frail George Burns, (Ron Alessi) went on the Bill Redish Show this morning he said the following.

We have a cancer in our community and it is the blogs. All responsible news organizations, like this radio station, answer to someone. The bloggers answer to no one. The bloggers think they are important and that they are a creditable news source. They are not news, they are garbage. They have been after me for the past three years, first because of my association with the Zoo, then because I was honored by a national organization and now because of one business civil law suit that made no economic sense for me to defend after 40 years in business. There are many good and decent individuals in our community who have been vilified, demeaned, and attacked for no good reason. It is no wonder that there is reluctance for qualified individuals to get involved in our community for fear that they will come under attack by these demented individuals. These bloggers serve no purpose but to destroy organizations, individuals and their families. They cower behind their computers and spew out venomous lies that discourage and demoralize individuals and organizations that give freely of their time, talent and treasure to improve the quality of life in our community. How come we do not see these individuals donating their time and their dollars to make our community better? I do not see any of their names listed in any of the many community organizations. I don't see them running for any office.Who gave them the right to judge others? What is their background? Maybe we need to check them out and see how moral and upstanding they are. There is no room in our community for rude and disrespectful individuals. If I am given the honor to be the first Wicomico County Executive, I will encourage free and open discussion of the issues. However, we will do it in a civil and respectful way and I will not permit any conduct that does not respect each other.Let me end by making this promise to the bloggers. You keep up the harassment of me and my family and you are asking for a fight. I am normally a mild mannered person and I like to resolve issues gentlemanly and peacefully. Up until this point I have ignored you, but if you continue to harass me or my family, when I get done with you an apology won't be adequate - I'll get in your wallet!

NOW,

Let's get one thing perfectly straight here Mr. Alessi, any time, any day, you want to attempt to get into my wallet, you better have a team of attorneys retarded enough to play that game and eat whatever you have left in your old age retirement to play with me, bring it on!

You said: "How come we do not see these individuals donating their time and their dollars to make our community better? I do not see any of their names listed in any of the many community organizations." "What is their background? Maybe we need to check them out and see how moral and upstanding they are."

Jennifer and I have given to the community. Jennifer put in 18 years at the Salisbury Zoo and herniated three disks in her back on the job and was forced out by you because she could no longer handle the physical stress from such work. That's NOT giving enough? After 18 years she was making a mere $27,000.00 a year, (after 18 years)! That's NOT enough? You terminated her position because she counldn't continue giving enough? We filed to get a Grandparent Friends Membership, sent in the money and you personally sent our money back and said we weren't friends of the Zoo and you had the City Council actually make up new rules "after" you had already turned us down, 18 years wasn't good enough? THEN we unconditionally donated funds to sponsor 4 animals for an entire year and you sent our money back! I have personally raised several hundred dollars for the Night of the Living Zoo as well as my time and all of our children's time to help run that event. Not good enough Ron?

We live in Delmar, DE. Ron Alessi, NOT Salisbury. Yet we still give back to that community every single day. Heck, you got $2.75 in parking garage fees and meters from us today alone! You mentioned that we have been after you for three years. My Blog Site is 2 months old. The other Blog Sites haven't been around for even two years. How good will you be with memory God Forbid you became County Executive? How many animals are in the Salisbury Zoo Ron? How many died last year Ron? How much money have you raised for that $2,000,000.00 building the AZA has demanded and you covered up? Why did you and Jim Rapp deny knowledge about the illegal pipes draining into the River from exhibits within the Zoo when you both knew they were illegal? Are you still upset with me because I found 5 mauled ducks in 9 days at the Zoo and Jim Rapp never told you about it? My pictures don't lie Ron. So threaten a lawsuit all you want, you DO NOT scare me at all! You are a Public Figure and I may say "anything" I like about you.

Quit sounding off like a cry baby because you're quickly losing ground. Because people are asking you how many animals died last year. Because people see the pollution in the river at the Zoo. Because people see dead animals in the Zoo. Because people realize there's next to no animals left at the Zoo. Because you are about to lose accreditation at the Zoo from the AZA because you covered up the building for 2 years so the Press wouldn't find out and now you're in deep trouble. Because you backed and supported Jim Rapp who admittedly stated he did in fact expose himself to women at the Zoo and you supported him, backed him and stood by his side while the MSM covered it up. Because you refuse to tell anyone just how many animals are at the Salisbury Zoo! Remember it here first Folks, there were 500 animals at the Salisbury Zoo 3 years ago! They might have 125 left. Keep in mind they keep adding animals every year too.

The Blog Sites are exposing FACTS! Even you are trying to claim there's a glitch in the accounting system that NO ONE ELSE has ever experienced but good ol' Ron Alessi is unique. You have enjoyed "manufactured news" from the Daily Times long enough. You may not like the fact that Blog Sites are making cheaters like you accountable but that is the real world Mr. Public and you cannot sue people. They can even lie about you Ron and there's nothing you can do about it. So nice try and big words for such a little man. I'll bet it felt good hiding behind that microphone and talking real big! Yeah, you're the man Ron. Say Goodnight Gracy!

County Council Exposes Another Major Flaw About Salisbury WWTP!

The County Council explained today how the Salisbury WWTP by law has to hold at least one days worth of reserve water at the Plant.

Even with the new improvements and upgrades the WWTP will NOT be ale to do so at TODAY'S volume until the year 2021!

Business People at today's meeting blamed the City Council and Developers for this major screw up as it is hurting Economic & Development for the honorable business person while Developers get away with whatever they want.

The County Council is very concerned about the WWTP issues but cannot do a whole lot about it at the moment. I say, swallow up the City of Salisbury into the County, get rid of the Mayor all together and the City Council and get what is inevitable done sooner than later. The City of Salisbury is going Bankrupt under this Mayor/Housewife who knows nothing about financing, unless it has to do with her making money on the sly on development deals, hence WalMart in Fruitland, right Barrie?

The County Council stated today that the WWTP is only holding 24% of the water required for such a Plant. Now do tell me Folks, if this were a private business, wouldn't we have been shut down by now? It's funny how we all have to live by their rules but they can do anything they want. Do as I say, not as I do.

Skipjacks Is Coming

It has been 2 years in the making and today the County Council have agreed to go the extra mile to get these fellas on track, the right track that is.

I was told today that they have been through 5 different interest rates with the Bank because it has taken so long. Annexations, WWTP issues, you name it, these people have experienced it.

On a rainy day these people are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. What scares me is, the City only figures this company will only use 1,200 gallons of water a day? Folks, John Jacobs and Co. are scaling down the water usage in order to free up more hook ups for the WWTP because 1,200 gallons a day just doesn't cut it.

City Of Salisbury Parking Garage, Or Haunted House?

This morning while I attended the County Council Meeting I was appalled by the lack of illumination in this Parking Garage!

Why ANY customer would have to put up with a security issue like this while paying good money to park their vehicle there is ridiculous!

I did not use a flash here and trust me, when I used the auto button to clear up the photo it actually halped make it look even brighter than it actually is in there.

Do they even have a Security Guard on duty there?

The Saliabury Zoo & Jim Rapp Continue To Be A Disappointment

Wow,

I just ran across the blog pertaining to the Salisbury Zoo. My father served as director there in the early 1990's and fought hard to improve its image and professionalism with a very limted budget. I certainly hate to think all of his work has basically gone by the wayside, especially in light of the fact that the young man currently running the zoo seemed bright to my father when he worked there.

I do know he recounted to me every month how he had to fight tooth and nail with the powers that be to make any changes to the zoo, regardless of how beneficial they were. He truly believed that Salisbury could become one of the finest small zoos in the U.S. , and he would be heart-broken to hear of Mr. Rapp's, and the city's, exploits.

Sincerely,
Johnson Bridgwater

Who's Been Mounted?

Two weeks ago today, I confronted the City Council and asked them directly, point blank, are these two horses going up for Auction?

Each and every Council Member sat there in awe, jaws dropped and not one of them could and or would answer my question.

I then turned to the Mayor and said, perhaps you can tell us what's going on Mayor? The Mayor responded with, yes, the horses will be going up for Auction as long as the Council recognizes them as surplus items. I can get you all the details as soon as we know more information.

I was cool with that. However, it's now been 2 weeks and I've received nothing. Allow me to take you back slightly and mention that I confronted Chief Webster a week earlier and he denied having any knowledge whatsoever about these horses.

Yesterday I received a call from one of the Mounted Patrol Police Mary Pines. Mary has been on the Force for 6 years now. Following protocol, Mary has gone through each step, every channel and she has made it VERY clear that she wants first right of refusal on these horses if the City considers selling them. They own a farm and can easily handle these animals. Chief Webster has denied any knowledge of these animals going up for Auction to Mary as well. Why the big denial Chief?

Mary was told she couldn't have these horses because they were going back to their original owners. But then again, why an Auction? Are there 4 horses, 2 of which are not in these photos? Are they auctioning the other 2 possible horses? You can't ask the Chief, he's clueless. If you ask the Mayor, we'll get right back to you on that one and nothing happens.

What I can tell you is that the Salisbury Police Department is dropping the Mounted Police Program and no one has said a word. How many secrets can one City have?

I'd like to add the following. As many of you know, Jennifer and I spent quite a bit of time last year rescuing foals from slaughter. We brought them back to our home and raised them back to health and then adopted them out to very loving families. We did our own background checks on these families to make sure these horses were going to excellent homes where there was a pasture, fencing, a barn and so forth and so on. Then we had a contract stating we could visit any time we'd like and if the conditions weren't proper we could take the horse back immediately.

What does an Auction do to assure you these horses are in fact going to a good home? NOTHING! The City is out for the almighty dollar once again and they couldn't care less what happens to these horses afterwards. Sounds like the Salisbury Zoo all over again to me!

Maybe the best thing that could happen is that Jennifer and I outbid everyone there at the Auction and can assure they live out the rest of their lives at a great home. Time will tell.

Assateague Island After The Storm

Alberofan visited Assateague Island this morning and delivered these beautiful pictures. That was one heck of a storm!

The Morning After

Trees are down, power is still out in Ocean City and each and everyone running for Office in Wicomico County needs to take a ride on every street in the entire County and put their signs back in the upright position as they are all lying down on the ground.

Just 30 Minutes Ago In Salisbury

Buryvoter has been busy delivering almost up to the hour photos of events in Salisbury this evening. This home is on Patomic Ave, just off Old Ocean City Road.

N. Park Drive. There Is Standing Water All Over The Salisbury Zoo

How Do You Think The Sludge Pit Is Holding Up?

From the look of things, the Zoo isn't making out too well either. Don't worry Jimbo, buryvoter took these pictures, not me.

I know if I lived in Harbor Point I'd be throwing a fit and forcing the MDE to come out there and shut that place down. In this case, shit is rolling down hill in liquid form.

Downtown Salisbury Is Getting Ready!

Earlier today I mentioned my concern towards what might happen at the Salisbury Zoo with flooding. Certainly sand bags aren't going to be as easy for the Zoo as it is for those businesses on Main Street.

I can tell you here in Delmar things are quickly flooding due to the dry soil for such a long period of time. Ponds are already overflowing and spreading into the pasture areas and this is just the beginning! Time to run some pumps on and wait it out.

Will The Salisbury Zoo Flood Out This Weekend?

With the serious threat of very heavy rains coming to the region, the Salisbury Zoo sits 100% in a Flood Plane Zone according to the State.

Over the years, many of animals have died a horrible death because of such said flooding. The Prairie Dogs are the first that come to mind. Even after we went directly to the Mayor about these animals drowning, she covered it up and said everything was OK at the Zoo. I believe 19 have died from drowning. Considering there are only 2 left, that number could be much higher.

There have been many times the Zoo Staff simply open the gates for the Llamas and allow them to roam the Zoo in order to find higher ground because the river floods so badly that they'd be standing chest high in water if they stayed in that exhibit.

Then there's the Dam upstream that everyone is so concerned about. What would happen if it collapsed? Surely the Salisbury Zoo would be a thing of the past and the animals, (most of them) would not survive.

So do tell me, why on God's Green Earth would all of you consider spending $36,000,000.00 to renovate the Salisbury Zoo where it is located? This has got to be the biggest scam job Ron Alessi and Jim Rapp have ever pulled off!

The way I see it is, the City Council is already stupid enough to sell you on a $10,000.00, (soon to be $15,000,000.00) Fire Station on swamp land. How the heck could all of you fall for this BS placing a Zoo in the middle of some of the lowest land in the County where the River already runs through it?

Wouldn't the Old Mall pose as the perfect location to relocate the Salisbury Zoo? It should also be known that the Perdue's offered to donate a ton of land next to the Shorebirds Stadium and Ron Alessi turned it down.

By the way Mayor, (seriously) should you need a place to keep some of these animals if the threat gets too bad, we have a huge barn with stalls and paddock areas not being used right now. I also have a large horse trailer I could transport these animals with if need be. My services are available unconditionally and free of charge. This is about the animals, not individuals.

PS, I happen to know of an excellent animal caretaker that just happens to be on this property as well and I can assure you these animals would be very well cared for. 410-430-5349 I can be there in 15 minutes.

Update: Virginia Beach has already received 9" of rain and it's only 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

We'll See Your Violation And Up Yours!

The Town of Milton, DE. seems to be in the hot seat now with WWTP Violations of their own. Although the City of Salisbury is dealing with their own denial, Milton is now looking at a $10,000.00 a day in violations if they don't get theirs fixed right away.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control is claiming the WWTP is not filtering their water properly and discharging it into the Broadkill River. Sound familiar? Although the Town is cooperating so far, time will tell if they are fined or not? They too are planning on building a new WWTP in a year or so but maybe they could take lessons from the City of Salisbury?

The photo above is the illegal sludge pit at the Salisbury WWTP that is still in litigation with the MDE. The MDE has been asking the City to put in test wells for almost a year now to see if the liner that has been in place for more than 18 years and only guaranteed for less than one year is in fact leaking? The City refuses to respond to the MDE's request and are fighting them all the way.

Dave Pushkar, (from the MDE) stated to me personally that he felt it was highly suspicious that they refuse to respond and feels there's a very good chance the liner is in fact leaking.

Boat rides are available through the County Tourism Office on weekends only. Ask for John Jacobs or Dave Winslow.

Are 640,000 Readers Being Mislead?

The Daily Times front page article tells a story of the Men's Journal writing an article about the Eastern Shore and the beauty of what we have to offer.

Jim Rapp, (Director of the Salisbury Zoo) is seen here paddling through the river near the pipes in which were illegally discharging raw sewage and chemicals directly into the Wicomico River, which he knowingly allowed but denies, as well as Ron Alessi, (President of the Zoo Commission).

While 640,000 people read this particular article this month, what will happen when they arrive and find signs posted all over the Wicomico River telling them it's not safe at all to be in these waters?

Yes, the Eastern Shore USED to be a wonderful place for recreation but these people, (including Barrie Tilghman & Co.) have completely destroyed such an experience and should "ALL" be ashamed of themselves!

The Last Place Anyone Would Want To Work!

If you like discrimination against woman, go to work here!

One employee who worked for the Bank of Willards who is 8 months pregnant was recently fired for an incident that happened 8 months earlier that she didn't even get written up for and the problem, (human error) was immediately corrected. In order to get rid of her they used this as an excuse to let her go. No more health insurance, nothing! What a nice place to work!

Another woman was interviewing for a job there and she already had children and they asked, are you going to have any more children? Why? Because if you are, we're not going to hire you.

I was also told about a woman who has Lymes Disease as well as her child. They have to travel all the way to PA. to get treatments and she was recently told she may no longer use sick days to take off work, she must use her vacation time instead or she'll be terminated.

The entire Staff, (females) were recently told that if their child got sick at School after 9:00 a.m., they were NOT allowed to leave and get them. It would be up to their husbands to do so or they'd lose their jobs. Not only does the Bank of Willards pay their people next to nothing, they suck as an employer and one can only hope the group of them get together and create a Class Action Lawsuit against these people for discrimination.

It seems that since the President of the Bank is a former Attorney, everyone is scared to death of this guy. I say, sue the crap out of him and make him eat his own words!

If any of you would like to switch Banks, call Chris Hatton at the Bank of America just down the street. 410-749-2205. He's a great Investment Broker and he'd be honored to set you up with the right person to fill your needs. Why do I get the feeling a lot of women are going to switch Banks right away?
