Trump UNLEASHES Powerful Message About “International Women’s Day” It Has Heads TURNING!

It’s safe to say that literals did NOT expect Trump to come out and address International Women’s Day, and they certainly didn’t expect him to do it like this.
President Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to publicly honor the women of the world and the “many roles” they serve which are “vital to the fabric of our society.” Sure, liberals are likely to find some way to complain about this tweet, but it is nice to see our President going out of his way to celebrate women both “in America and around the world.”
“On International Women’s Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world,” he tweeted. A shocking message for those who believe that our President has sexist tendencies.
On International Women's Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world.
But he didn’t just tweet once about the subject, ensuring that even his critics would see his sentiments.
I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy.
His daughter, Ivanka Trump, joined in with a message of her own, and from a woman’s perspective on the day.

Guess Whose Payroll The “Day Without Women” Organization Is On- It’s Bad…

Billionaire progressive globalist, and all around A-hole, George Soros is rumored to have handed over $246 million to the organizers of Wednesday’s “Day Without a Woman” protests on International Women’s Day.

The Media Research Center commented on the donations:

“Those donations represent just a fragment of Soros’ massive global influence, his Open Society Foundations have given away more than $13 billion to push his globalist, anti-American views.”

Fox News had the report:

Wednesday is “International Women’s Day,” and schools in at least four states canceled classes so teachers and staff members could participate in “Day Without a Woman” demonstrations […]

A report released Wednesday claims that Soros — whose net worth is $25.2 billion and who champions liberal causes — gave millions to groups behind the demonstration.

Of the march’s 544 partners, 100 groups received funding from Soros that totaled $246 million, according to the conservative Media Research Center. Such groups included Planned Parenthood, the Center for American Progress and People for the American Way (PFAW), the report claims.

She’s at again. The wicked witch of the west is walking the walk of a hypocrite…and this time, she is so exposed, and she only has herself to thank for that. Foolish woman.

She must really think we have zero capability to remember anything or that we were watching the ridiculous process of Obamacare come to pass with our eyes closed.

This woman had the audacity to tweet out on the drafting process for the Affordable Care Act and defined it as “one of the most transparent in recent memory.”

She defended Obamacare just as the release of the Republican replacement bill was released…sorta.

Kenyan guide murder is latest outrage as tribes grab land

Just a few years back, Kenya’s Laikipia plateau was paradise.

Many times my wife and I have ridden out on horseback at sunrise among elephants and giraffe, buck, warthog and the occasional leopard, marvelling that such wild beauty still exists on earth.

No longer, however.

For many months now, Laikipia’s cattle farms and game ranches, many of them white-owned, have been invaded and overrun by armed tribesmen brandishing automatic rifles, burning buildings and terrorising owners as they claim grazing rights for their own cattle.

On Sunday, this scourge reached a new climax: the famous safari guide, farmer and former British Army officer, Tristan Voorspuy, was shot out of his saddle and killed as he inspected lodges on his estate that had been torched in an arson attack.

She said her bruises still sting a day after, according to her, a woman punched her in the face repeatedly while she was in the bread aisle of the Atlanta-area store.

What The Hell Is Going On?

The older I get the less I listen to what people say and the more I look at what they do.”– Andrew Carnegie

I’m 53 years old. The older I get the less sure I am about things I was sure about when I was 25 years old. I believed stocks for the long run was an unquestioned truth. I believed our economy was based on free market capitalism. I believed stock prices were based upon profits and cash flows. I believed a home was a place to live – not an investment. I believed the Catholic Church was run by good men doing good things. I believed journalists and the media were watchdogs working on behalf of the public. I believed our military was protecting our interests. I believed politicians legislated on behalf of the people. I believed the main purpose of bankers was to loan money to businesses and consumers in order to support economic growth. Boy, was I dumbass.

My skeptical nature, reliance on data I’ve personally vetted, and judging our leaders based on what they have done versus what they say, has allowed me to escape the Matrix. I wasn’t truly awakened until I watched Bush, Cheney, Powell, the rest of the neo-con prevaricators and fake news mainstream media utilize propaganda to railroad Americans into a $6 trillion unnecessary war, resulting in 36,000 American casualties, the destruction of a country and the creation of thousands of new Muslim terrorists.

I’ve spent the last fourteen years pushing back against the establishment narrative, documenting the fake data published by government apparatchiks, and trying to open the eyes of as many people as possible to the propaganda utilized by the Deep State to keep the ignorant masses dazed, confused and distracted. The country is in deep trouble because what the majority believe regarding the economy, politics, religion, and culture just ain’t so.

“What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know. It’s what we know for sure that just ain’t so.” – Mark Twain

Has He Lost It? Bill Clinton: "We have to find a way to bring simple, personal decency and trust back to our politics"

Apparently former president Bill Clinton has completely lost his mind and has no idea who or where he is.
In his first public speaking engagement since his wife lost the election, Clinton found it within himself while delivering the keynote at an event hosted by the Brookings Institution to say, “We have to find a way to bring simple, personal decency and trust back to our politics.”
"We have to find a way to bring simple, personal decency and trust back to our politics," Bill Clinton says at Brookings
Um… yeah.
So that happened.

Take it away, Twitterverse.

Arizona Senate Committee Passes Bill To Treat Gold As Money, Remove Capital Gains Tax

Today, an Arizona Senate Committee passed a bill that would eliminate state capital gains taxes on gold and silver specie, and encourage its use as currency. Final approval of the legislation would help undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.

Former US Rep. Ron Paul testified today in the Senate Finance Committee in support of House Bill 2014 (HB2014). The legislation, which previously passed the state House by a 35-24 vote, would eliminate state capital gains taxes on income “derived from the exchange of one kind of legal tender for another kind of legal tender.” The bill defines legal tender as “a medium of exchange, including specie, that is authorized by the United States Constitution or Congress for the payment of debts, public charges, taxes and dues.” “Specie” means coins having precious metal content.

In effect, passage of the bill would, as Paul noted, “legalize competition in a Constitutional fashion.”

Israel officially decriminalized recreational marijuana

Israel's cabinet approved the decriminalization of recreational marijuana Sunday in attempts to "emphasize public information and treatment instead of criminal enforcement," in the words of Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan.

The new policy will charge a 1,000-shekel ($271) fine for people caught smoking pot in public, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports. After the second offense, the fine is doubled. After the third offense, a probationary period is instituted. The fourth offense can lead to criminal charges.

Tracey Cox asks is love at first sight simply lust?

At least half of all Americans believe in love at first sight and UK surveys suggest we are just as attached to the theory.

The other half of the population are more cynical, believing it’s more a case of ‘lust at first sight’ than anything romantic.

Either way, there’s no denying the feeling of falling in love is an extremely powerful emotion.

Locked Up: Is Cash Bail on the Way Out?

In the midst of a contentious divorce, Lavette Mayes got into a heated argument with her soon-to-be ex-mother-in-law. A couple of weeks later, Chicago Police arrested her for aggravated battery.

Up until that point, her only interaction with the legal system had been reporting for jury duty. Her new business operating a school van service was thriving. She was renting a nice house, a place she and her two children could call home. Then, in 2015, a judge slapped her with a $250,000 bail — an amount that Mayes could not afford.

After she had spent 14 months in the Cook County Jail, the Chicago Community Bond Fund, a volunteer organization, helped Mayes make bail after a judge reduced the amount. By that point, though, her business had collapsed, she’d lost her home, and her kids were traumatized. “I lost everything,” Mayes, 46, said.

Increasingly, state policymakers are looking at defendants like Mayes and reexamining the purpose of bail. Six in 10 adults in U.S. jails have not been convicted of a crime. They are locked up awaiting trial, mostly because they’re too poor to post bail. They are legally presumed innocent, but many spend months and even years awaiting trial. Often, they feel pressure to take a plea deal rather than spend more time in jail.

Fearing Cuts, Many Women Stock Up on Birth Control

Mary Bonheimer wants to wait a few years before having another child. Uninsured and working part-time as a waitress so she and her fiancé can split time caring for their 18-month-old daughter, she plans to stay on birth control pills for now.

But Bonheimer, 22, and her friends in Warsaw, Indiana, are worried that the local family planning clinic might shut down under new policies put forward by President Donald Trump’s administration. Her sister had a hormonal implant inserted into her arm that will provide birth control for three years, Bonheimer said. Other women she knows are switching to intrauterine devices (IUDs) and other long-acting contraceptives to ensure they are protected against an unwanted pregnancy for as long as possible.

Nationwide, family planning clinics are seeing a surge in demand for contraceptive services, particularly long-acting IUDs and implants.

Senate Bill 717 – Task Force on Internet, Wireless, and Cellular Service on the Eastern Shore

Senate Bill 717 was presented to the Senate Finance Committee this week. This proposed legislation would establish a task force to study and make recommendations to improve Internet, wireless, and cellular services and accessibility on the Eastern Shore. The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) would provide the staff for this important initiative. We will be proposing amendments that outline the 12-15 person task force that will examine the lack of reliable and accessible broadband service, and seek federal funds.
Senate Bill 954 – Talbot County – Deer Management Permit – Use of Rifles

I presented Senate Bill 954 to the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee this week. Senate Bill 954 would authorize an individual who is hunting under a Deer Management Permit in Talbot County to use a rifle approved by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The individual must (1) hold a valid Maryland State Shooter Qualification Card and (2) is harvesting deer under the permit subject to the conditions set forth in the permit. Deer management permits are a valuable tool for farmers in Maryland that are experiencing severe economic loss due to deer involvement.
Senate Bill 823 – Task Force to Study Tax Sales in Maryland

Senate Bill 823 was  heard in the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee. Senate Bill 823 establishes a task force to study tax sales in Maryland. The task force would be required to submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly. This proposed legislation will examine Maryland’s tax sale system as many local jurisdictions are struggling with vacant and abandoned properties, and individuals are losing their homes due to unpaid taxes. A representative from Dorchester County will be part of this important task force.
Senate Bill 957 – Counties and Municipalities – Land Bank Authority

Senate Bill 957 was presented to the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee this week. This bill outlines the establishment of a land bank authority applicable to a municipality or county in the state. Two or more local governments will be allowed to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement to create a single land bank. Land Bank Authorities provide counties and municipalities a unique and flexible tool to alleviate blight. Community organizations will work with the counties and municipalities to repair homes, provide affordable housing opportunities within the community, and decrease the number of abandoned properties. Senate Bill 957 will help Dorchester County and counties throughout Maryland create opportunities for economic growth.
UPDATE - Senate Bill 436 – Income Tax – Credit for Nurse Practitioner or Licensed Physician in Preceptorship Program – Alterations

Senate Bill 436 passed the Senate last week and will be presented in the House Ways and Means Committee on March 22 at 1:00pm.
Senate Bill 587 – Education – Libraries – Reorganization of Governance Structure
Senate Bill 587 is an important piece of legislation, which I have co-sponsored this session. This bill will grow and expand public libraries in Maryland. The bill replaces an outdated system by transferring control of the public libraries from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) onto a new, independent State Library Agency and State Library Board. Seventeen states have an independent library system and a University of Maryland study found these systems to be the most successful.

Senate Bill 601 - Property Tax Credit - Elderly Individuals and Veterans – Eligibility
Senate Bill 601 reduces requirements, for a county and municipality, to grant a tax credit to homeowners. Under this bill a homeowner is required to live in the same county for 25 years in order to receive this credit. Originally, a homeowner would need to live in the same dwelling for 40 years. This important initiative provides local governments with a tool to help our seniors stay in their communities.
LEGISLATION OF CONCERN

Senate Bill 784 – Department of Juvenile Services – Youth Services Bureau – Budget Appropriation

Senate Bill 784 requires the Governor to appropriate any funding in the State budget for an eligible Youth Services Bureau (YSB) in the budget for the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS). This bill could jeopardize the funding for Local Management Boards throughout the state. Currently, funding for youth services are provided to local jurisdictions through the Governor’s Office of Children. Local Management Boards assess the needs of the community and help provide services for children, youth, and families in Maryland. Reducing the funding for Local Management Boards will in result in drastic consequences, such as the removal of valuable programs and loss of services for many.

Senate Bill 474 - Cigarette Restitution Fund - Establishment of Behavioral Health Treatment Account and Funding for Substance Use Treatment Services
Senate Bill 474 requires the Cigarette Restitution Fund (CRF) to include a separate account to be used for substance use treatment. This bill however takes away monies from current programs funded through the CRF. Substance use providers and those with serious persistent mental illness are included in the budget, and the CRF is not needed to fund these programs. The purpose of the CRF is to reduce the societal burden associated with tobacco use, and this bill weakens the CRF’s ability to do so.

2016 Election Study Published

(MIDDLETOWN, CT) March 6, 2017 – The 2016 presidential campaign broke the mold when it comes to patterns of political advertising. But, in a new publication, the Wesleyan Media Project directors say “Not so fast” to those who argue that advertising no longer matters in elections.

The article published in The Forum: A Journal of Applied Research in Contemporary Politics (open access through mid-April 2017) shows that the presidential race featured far less advertising than the previous cycle, a huge imbalance in the number of ads across candidates, and one candidate who almost ignored discussions of policy. Yet, at the congressional level, political advertising appeared far more ordinary. The authors share lessons about advertising in the 2016 campaign, and argue that its seeming lack of effectiveness may owe to the unusual nature of the presidential campaign with one nonconventional candidate and the other using an unconventional message strategy.

Furthermore, the authors demonstrate that:

1) Clinton’s unexpected losses came in states in which she failed to air ads until the last week.
See Figure 4 below, which shows the number of pro-Trump and pro-Clinton ads aired on broadcast television during each week, both overall (top left panel) and in three key states.

Senate President Miller Admits Paid Sick Leave is "Onerous on Small Businesses"

Brilliant Response to Liberal Claim “My Body, My Choice”

How often do you hear a liberal woman selfish child trapped in a grown liberal woman’s body make the claim, “My body, my choice”. I see it literally every time we write about the importance of being pro-life. It’s right up there with the, “How is a MAN trying to tell me what to do with my body?”

The fact that it’s even a debate whether or not a woman is able to kill an unborn child because she was irresponsible and doesn’t want to be punished with a baby (as Obama likes to say) is mind-boggling. I guess they are consistent though and don’t believe in personal responsibility under any circumstances. So they got that going for them… which is nice.

If you don’t want to have a baby, how about you try having sex with condoms and birth control, or the most radical idea, don’t have sex until you’re ready.

The Next Domino To Fall: Commercial Real Estate

Unless the Federal Reserve intends to buy up every dead and dying mall in America, this is one crisis that the Fed can't bail out with a few digital keystrokes.

Just as generals prepare to fight the last war, central banks prepare to battle the last financial crisis--which in the present context means a big-bank liquidity meltdown like the one that nearly toppled thr global financial system in 2008-09.

Planning to win the next war by assuming it will be a copy of the last confict is an excellent strategy for losing the next war. The same holds true for the next financial crisis: reckoning that it will be a repeat of 2008 is an excellent way to be caught completely off-guard.

Crises may rhyme, but they don't repeat. The next Global Financial Meltdown won't start in subprime mortgages--that sector has been wiped out, written down, or passed on to the poor tax-donkey taxpayers.

Lead-Paint Bill Would Let Baltimore Sue for Past Damages

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Bills that would hold accountable those whose products cause lead poisoning, and taking lead out of drinking water, are moving through legislative committees in the Maryland General Assembly this session.

The House Judiciary Committee heard testimony Wednesday on a bill that would allow plaintiffs — ostensibly the city of Baltimore and landlords — to broadly sue manufacturers of lead-based paint for property or economic damages caused by the presence of lead-based paint in residential buildings.

Baltimore in particular would be able to recoup any costs the city has committed to abatement — fixing actual damages and funding educational programs in particular. Lead exposure in young children is linked to developmental delays, learning difficulties, weight loss, hearing loss and abdominal pain.

Here's what life for 'Baby Jessica' is like today

On October 14, 1987, long before Twitter, or Facebook, or even the internet really, 18-month-old Jessica McClure went viral. The entire country waited with bated breath as rescue teams struggled to save "Baby Jessica" – as she became known in the papers – who was trapped in a well for nearly 60 hours before she was finally extricated, miraculously alive.

It all happened in her family's home in the oil city of Midland, Texas, where her aunt, Jamie Moore, ran a daycare center. Jessica was playing with a few other children in the backyard while her mother, Cissy, watched over them. Cissy went inside the house for just a moment to answer a phone call, and rushed out when she heard the other children screaming because Jessica had fallen down a well that was 22-feet-deep and only eight inches in diameter.

The fact that the well was so deep and narrow and that she was trapped under solid rock made the rescue mission uncommonly difficult, and as each hour passed, parents everywhere watching their worst nightmare unfold on CNN began to lose hope for her survival. But the rescue teams managed to drill a parallel well and then create a tunnel to where baby Jessica was trapped, and finally, at the 58-hour mark, she was safely brought above ground.

David Horowitz: Obama Is Leading 'War to Destroy Trump'

As I predicted in "Big Agenda" – my best-selling book about President Donald Trump's plan to save America – the Democrats and their media accomplices have declared all-out war on the Trump White House.

Under the guise of "resistance" – as though the Trump was the head of an occupying army rather than an elected president – they have set out to destroy his administration.

They are not "sore losers," as many had surmised when their hysterical attacks on Trump as an American Hitler began. They are an army of saboteurs bent on destroying the government the voters preferred.

Their general, Barack Obama, is an unrepentant radical who abused the office of the presidency when he was in power, and as ex-president is now leading a war to overthrow his successor..

Council Expresses Regret Hours After Okaying Brewery’s Silo Addition

OCEAN CITY — Resort officials this week approved a conditional use amendment allowing for the installation of a grain silo at a mid-town brewery, but some on the Mayor and Council later regretted the decision amid concerns the company had not been entirely forthcoming over an existing silo.

On Monday, the Mayor and Council approved the findings of fact on a pair of requests to modify conditional use permits for the Ocean City Brewing Company at 56th Street that would allow the company to expand an existing front deck to allow for a greater outdoor dining and play area and install an indoor grain silo that would stand 34 feet tall with as many as 16 feet protruding from the existing roof line.

Earlier this year, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the conditional use permit requests submitted by the Ocean City Brewing Company after a lengthy public hearing that carried over from November into January. During the public hearing, the planning commission heard testimony from neighboring property owners concerned a grain silo protruding from the existing facility would greatly impact their views and ultimately their property values.

Like Carson, Obama Called Slaves 'Immigrants'

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson was lambasted by critics Monday after referring to Africans who came to America aboard slave ships as "immigrants," but former President Barack Obama has used the same language.

Carson, speaking to HUD employees on Monday, said, "There were other immigrants who came in the bottom of slave ships, who worked even longer, even harder, for less, but they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land."

Carson, who is black, took heat from the NAACP, the Anne Frank Center and several others over the remarks. But he was undeterred, and instead of apologizing, he doubled down during a Monday night appearance on Armstrong Williams' Sirius XM Radio show.

"I think people need to actually look up the word immigrant," Carson told Williams.

Anne Arundel sees 16 opioid overdoses, three of them fatal, within 24 hours

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY (WBFF) - Three people died and 13 others overdosed on opiates within a 24-hour stretch in Anne Arundel County, confirmed police Wednesday evening.

As of 3:45 a.m., three adults were dead, in Glen Burnie, Pasadena and Linthicum, said Lt. Ryan Frashure. One of the deaths was not from heroin per se.

Most of the reported overdoses were in the northern and western parts of the county, he said.

"This has not been an issue overnight. Heroin has been an issue with us for the past two to three years," said Frashure, adding the numbers often fluctuate. "This definitely does stand out as one of our higher 24-hour periods."

This is a story about a ship, trapped in ice, which survived in such a way that no one would believe the tale without proof that it actually happened.

So ... here is the story, and here is the proof. We can learn all about it from an old newspaper which was published in England, in late 1856.

She was one of five vessels sent to look for the missing Franklin Expedition (a crew of men, and their leader, who were searching for a fabled “Northwest Passage” in the Arctic Region). The mummified remains, of some of those Franklin-expedition men, were later found on a lonely Arctic-area island.

The Resolute was a sturdy ship, built to manage the treacherous conditions of ice-clogged Arctic seas. Though such vessels could often make way where differently designed ships would never go, they could still get trapped in moving ice packs. Sometimes the ice would crush even a well-designed ship..
