Most of us run from disasters. Nurses run toward them.
Angela Weir, a nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma unit, thought she could help after coming upon a fiery crash Wednesday morning along Interstate 70 in Frederick County.
But her efforts nearly led to catastrophe after she mistook, amid smoke and adrenaline, a jersey wall for a median, jumped over it to put some distance between herself and the flames — and fell about 75 feet into the Monocacy River.
Weir said she is “on the other side of this situation all time” — caring for victims of “falls from all distances.” And she can’t explain why she was able to walk out of a hospital with nothing but “very minor” fractures in her spine and the back of her skull when those who fall from two or three stories are often in worse condition.
“I don’t understand why I’m uninjured,” Weir said. “I’m not sure how to explain it other than it’s a miracle.”

The Attack On The Second Amendment Is Not Finished
The Statist-Marxists (self-termed “Progressive Democrats”) are by no means finished hacking away at the branch of the Tree of Liberty bearing the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The right of a free citizenry to keep and bear arms is a right the Marxist-Statists absolutely cannot tolerate. We have seen it all throughout history: Hitler’s Germany, the Soviet Union, Cambodia…all of the totalitarian states must take the firearms from the hands of their citizens in order to make them subjects.
Ben Franklin once said, “Those who beat their rifles into plowshares will plow for those who do not.” How simplistic, but eloquent in its truth. Bill Clinton kicked off the Brady Bill on November 30, 1993, and this was followed by what was termed the Bill Clinton Gun Ban that imposed drastic restrictions on firearms that lasted for ten years. What Clinton did not foresee was the severe backlash that occurred as a result from angry citizens that ended up propelling the Republicans to regain the House of Representatives after they had lost it for forty years.
This lesson was not lost on Obama, who preferred to attack the 2nd Amendment indirectly without the passage of legislation. Such actions are his attempts to control firearms with executive actions. The Arms Trade Treaty was adopted by the United Nations on April 2, 2013, and on September 25, 2013 U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry signed the treaty. This action was proposed before and argued over tooth and nail for more than ten years. The treaty went into effect on December 24, 2014, a quiet Christmas Present for the whole world that nobody noticed.
The U.S. Senate has not ratified it and will not ratify it: we know, it violates Marbury vs. Madison and is onerous to the Constitution. The problem lies in the fact that Kerry signed it as Obama’s representative and thereby made the United States a signatory to the treaty. What this means is the United States is now obliged to refrain from any actions that the treaty holds in its terms. One example of this would be a federal opposition to gun control, as this UN treaty clearly makes the objective of removing firearms from every human being on the planet not sanctioned, certified, and approved in the service of a government. Here are a couple of points to this:

Feingold Passes $500,000 in Bundled Lobbyist Contributions
Russ Feingold, the former Democratic senator from Wisconsin who is attempting to regain the seat he lost in 2010, has now collected more than a half million dollars worth of bundled lobbyist contributions despite previously positioning himself on the front lines of campaign finance reform.
Feingold, who spent 18 years in Congress before being defeated by Republican Sen. Ron Johnson six years ago, added $129,883.28 in bundled lobbyist contributions to Russ for Wisconsin, his campaign committee, from April 1 to June 30. Between July 1 and July 20, which is marked as “pre-primary” filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), his campaign committee saw an additional $20,846 pour in from lobbyists.
The latest contributions going into to Feingold’s campaign committee have come from registered lobbyists at just three far-left D.C.-based groups.
The J Street PAC, a liberal Middle East advocacy group that is critical of the Jewish state despite billing itself as a “pro-Israel, pro-peace” organization, collected $67,398.01 for the former senator’s comeback attempt since April, according to FEC filings.
The League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, an environmental advocacy group, added $64,436.27 while lobbyists from the Council for a Livable World, which seeks to eliminate nuclear weapons in the United States, gave $18,895.
Prior to these donations, Feingold received $390,301 from special interest groups. He has now accepted $541,030.28 in bundled lobbyist contributions to date.

Mr. Trump: The People are Still Behind You!
Despite what the Democrats and Establishment RINOs are saying as they wring their hands in false fear of you…Please persevere.
Notwithstanding the lies and misstatements the Left makes about you…Stand firm in the truth.
In defiance of those who would destroy as many of us as necessary to satisfy their own perverse dark and corrupt visions, continue to fight them with all required force.
What We the People have seen over the past eight years has been no less that the dismantling of our country and the attempted destruction of all of our mores, the trampling of our true values as prescribed by God, the demeaning of good men and women who founded our country to be strong and ethical and who would fight for liberty to the death. My own ancestors did so toward the founding of the United States.
We’ve have seen it repeated over and over again with Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton. Wherever they go misery ruin soon follow.
The New World Order creatures are throwing everything they can think of at you. It will get worse. The lies will increase and be repeated over and over again to influence the voters who are easily fooled. The truly insane being seated in our White House is now alluding to your own sanity. Your life has, already, been threatened. Although I’ve experienced all of those—Constitutional Conservative writers always seem to do so—your running for President of the United States is far…far greater. You’re in an extremely precarious position.
We love you for your honesty, business savvy, take no prisoners and fix what’s wrong attitude. But, it’s not just your attitude, Sir. It’s that we know—from you history—that you will do what you say. You are one of those now rare beings whose word is his bond. Evil will always attack that which is on the correct side of life. It’s in its nature. Just like “the snake” we know its nature and that it will never change…it will just increase until it’s put down.

I will be working with them closely over the coming years to make sure this is a success.”

Somali Muslims Get Behind-Scenes Tour of Minneapolis Airport
A group of Somali Muslims was given a private behind-the-scenes tour of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport after complaining to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson they felt harassed and profiled, Judicial Watch reports.
At least two tours were given — on December 18, 2014 and February 18, 2015 — after the Department of Homeland Security held roundtable meetings with local Somali leaders to obtain feedback for "modifications to practices that would allow for operations to be more culturally sensitive," according to documents obtained by the conservative watchdog group.
The tours were conducted by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and gave participants "an in-depth, on-site tour and discussion of CBP's airport, including both inbound and outbound passenger processing," according to TSA files. The meetings between the agency and community leaders and imams allowed participants to ask about the agency's "specific practices" at the airport, Judicial Watch reports.

Smoking Gun Surfaces, PROVES Hillary Clinton Broke Federal Law!
Julian Assange and Wikileaks are about to drop the biggest bomb yet on Hillary Clinton. Assange is confirming that he has details that shows Clinton knew the US was sending military arms from Libya to Syria in 2011, a full year before the terrorist attack in Benghazi.
This means Hillary Clinton was heavily involved in the arming of jihadists, including ISIS.
However, in sworn testimony before Congress, Clinton lied and claimed she didn’t have this information. This hearing took place in 2013: More

EXPERTS WARN GLUTEN FOUND IN METH COULD BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH
PORTLAND, OR — Health experts have today warned that meth found on the streets of Portland has tested positive for gluten, a protein composite normally found in several types of grains, including wheat, spelt, rye, and barley.
Action on Gluten has been set up to help meth users avoid “hidden gluten”, and to get drug dealers to offer a much safer gluten free meth for the tweaker communities of Oregon.
The organization believes they can successfully eliminate gluten from meth completely within a year, ensuring a much cleaner form of crystal and a brighter future for children who love meth.
Action on Gluten spokesperson Simon Krueger explained, “Gluten is not only dangerous, but also highly addictive. When added to meth, an otherwise fairly safe drug, the consequences can be deadly.”
“While the majority of drug dealers are honest, hard working, and have compassion for their consumers, unfortunately a handful of dealers are ruining the party for everyone as they are sneaking the poisonous gluten into their product.”

Khan Wrote Extensively in Favor of Sharia
Alex Pfeiffer at the Daily Caller writes:
Khizr Khan, the Muslim father of a slain American soldier, is an attorney who has previously written in a law journal about Islamic law. He specifically wrote about the purity of the Quran and the Sunnah over all other texts and interpretations.
Khan rose to fame after speaking at the Democratic National Convention Thursday and pulling out a pocket U.S. Constitution imploring if Donald Trump had even read it.

America’s Electronic Voting Machines-- Easy Targets
This week, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump openly speculated that this election would be “rigged.” Last month, Russia decided to take an active role in our election. There’s no basis for questioning the results of a vote that’s still months away. But the interference and aspersions do merit a fresh look at the woeful state of our outdated, insecure electronic voting machines.
We’ve previously discussed the sad state of electronic voting machines in America, but it’s worth a closer look as we approach election day itself, and within the context of increased cyber-hostilities between the US and Russia. Besides, by now states have had plenty of warning since a damning report by the Brennan Center for Justice about our voting machine vulnerabilities came out last September. Surely matters must have improved since then.
Well, not exactly. In fact, not really at all.
Rise of the Machines
Most people remember the vote-counting debacle of the 2000 election, the dangling chads that resulted in the Supreme Court breaking a Bush-Gore deadlock. What people may not remember is the resulting Help America Vote Act (HAVA), passed in 2002, which among other objectives worked to phase out the use of the punchcard voting systems that had caused millions of ballots to be tossed.
In many cases, those dated machines were replaced with electronic voting systems. The intentions were pure. The consequences were a technological train wreck.
“People weren’t thinking about voting system security or all the additional challenges that come with electronic voting systems,” says the Brennan Center’s Lawrence Norden. “Moving to electronic voting systems solved a lot of problems, but created a lot of new ones.”

Supreme Court blocks transgender bathroom choice for now
A Virginia school board may temporarily block a student who was born a girl from using the boys' bathroom while a legal fight over transgender rights proceeds on appeal, the U.S. Supreme Court said on Wednesday.
The case is the first time the fight over transgender bathroom rights has reached the Supreme Court. The subject arrived in the heat of a U.S. presidential election in which the makeup of the court is a central issue.
In a brief order, the country's highest court put on hold an order from a lower court that had permitted the high school student to use the bathroom of his choice.
Last year, the American Civil Liberties Union sued on behalf of Gavin Grimm, 17, to challenge the Gloucester County School Board's bathroom policy, which requires transgender students to use alternative restroom facilities.

Sean Hannity EXPOSES Polls Showing Hillary Leading by Double Digits AS TOTAL FRAUDS
It felt wrong….. and now we know for a fact our skepticism was correct. The national polls showing Hillary with a double digit lead have been proven to be completely fraudulent as they are using unrealistic sample sizes heavily weighted towards democrats.
What is the truth? Who knows exactly. A recent NBC / WSJ poll has Hillary leading Trump by one in a 4-way race and we all know NBC/WSJ are NOT fans of Trump. Could all the National polling be a ruse meant to demoralize the Trump movement?
REMEMBER – NEVER, EVER Trust the Corporate-Owned Globalist Mainstream Media. Their “job” is to push Globalist Hillary over the top against the Trump movement to take America back.
Reported on SeanHannity.com
A new Reuters poll has many Republicans worried about the outcome of the 2016 presidential race–and many on the Democratic side ready to pop the champaign corks.
The poll shows presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton leading by a shocking 14 percent over her Republican rival Donald Trump: 47 percent to 33 percent.
Unfortunately there’s one problem with the poll. It is heavily skewed.

NBC Scrubs Andrea Mitchell Calling Bill Clinton’s Rape Accuser ‘Discredited’
NBC News has stealth-edited an Andrea Mitchell segment where she called Bill Clinton’s rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick “discredited,” deleting the line entirely, theWashington Free Beacon has learned.
The seasoned news anchor was accused of bias for her remarks about Broaddrick’s rape allegation against Clinton, which she made during a video package about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in May.
“Donald Trump using that word [rape] unprompted during an interview last night with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, bringing up a discredited and long-denied accusation against former president Bill Clinton, dating back to 1978 when he was Arkansas Attorney General,” Mitchell says in a voice over for the original segment.

Wasserman Schultz’s Primary Challenger Filing FEC Complaint Against Her
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s (D., Fla.) primary challenger is filing a complaint with the Federal Election Committee claiming that the outgoing Democratic National Committee chairwoman wrongfully used DNC resources to target his campaign.
Tim Canova, a law professor and supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), said his campaign lawyers found evidence that Schultz violated FEC rules among the recent WikiLeaks disclosures that forced the chairwoman’s resignation from the committee.
“It’s very clear that Wasserman Schultz was using the DNC resources to monitor my campaign and to strategize on how to crush the campaign,” Canova said Monday night during an interview with MSNBC. “That’s a violation of federal law.”

New Documents Reveal IRS Headquarters in D.C. Buried Conservative Groups’ Tax Applications
Attorney who investigated IRS scandal is an Obama, Democratic Party donor
Staff at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., buried conservative groups’ tax exemption applications beginning in 2010 and lasting through President Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012, according to documents released this week by Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group.
The group released 105 pages of FBI documents, which included interviews with Cincinnati IRS employees who disclosed that applications by Tea Party groups were automatically denied approval and assigned to a special group until they heard from the IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“The FBI’s 302 interviews with Cincinnati IRS employees reveal that the agency adopted a series of policies assuring that Tea Party and other conservative group tax exempt applications would not be approved before the November 2012 presidential election,” according to a statement from Judicial Watch.
A manager from the Cincinnati IRS explained to the FBI that the Tea Party applications were put into a file called “Group 7822,” where they were to be held while employees waiting for guidance from the D.C. IRS office.
Additionally, the IRS began a “BOLO” or “Be On the Lookout” list in 2010, adding Tea Party groups to that list in July or August 2010.

Virginia school board member arrested for blocking door into Trump rally
ASHBURN, Va. – A school board member in Loudoun County, Virginia was arrested by sheriff’s deputies after she allegedly blocked the entrance to a rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and refused to move or leave.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Broad Run School Board member Joy Maloney 9 a.m. Tuesday after witnesses said she cut in front of folks waiting in line at Briar Woods High School to attend a Trump rally, Loudoun Now reports.
Officers told the 45-year-old to get to the back of the line, but Maloney reportedly refused to budge and eventually sat on the ground and refused to move.
“As this was a private event contracted through Loudoun County Public Schools, the organizers revoked her ticket and she continued to refuse to leave the premises,” Loudoun County Sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell told the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
The Broadlands resident was arrested for trespassing, and hauled in front of a Loudoun magistrate.
A photo posted to Facebook by a local conservative group shows the board member with her hands restrained behind her back, sitting legs out in a grassy area while four police officers monitor her.
She was later released on a $1,000 unsecured bond, according to the news site.
Maloney’s arrest was undoubtedly the kind of “school activism” she professed to be an expert at last spring when she ran for the school board after “investing for the past two years in advocacy through Support Our Schools,” a group driven by the Loudoun Education Association, the local teachers union.

Ohio school district recruits staff for ‘armed response teams’
Dayton, Ohio – The Mad River School District is taking a new approach to school security.
District officials approved a plan last month to create an armed response team using existing staff who will complete a three day, 26-hour training program to allow them access to weapons that will be stored in schools throughout the district starting in the 2017-18 school year, WHIO reports.
District officials and school board members studied the issue of securing schools for roughly a year, and they cited recent school shootings as a motivating factor for choosing a team-based approach, rather than installing resource officers, which are typically local police.
This was a very tough decision,” Mad river school board president Scott Huddle told the Dayton Daily News. “We as a board and administration felt like we were obligated to do more, now more than ever, to protect the students and the staff and visitors who come into our schools every day.”
Superintendent Chad Wyen explained to WDTN why the district choose to train and arm teachers, instead of relying resource officers.
“We determined as a board of education that the team approach would be way more effective than having a school resource officer. You have one individual person that can respond to a situation versus a team,” he said. “And if we want to reduce the risk and we want to make sure we have a safe environment, the best bet for us and what best fit our needs was having that team approach.”

Obama shortens federal sentences of eight Marylanders, 214 overall
Eight Marylanders are among the 214 federal prisoners whose sentences were shortened Wednesday by President Barack Obama, the White House said. It was the most commutations in a single day in more than a century.
The prisoners include four from Baltimore and four from other parts of Maryland. All were convicted of drug crimes; five had been sentenced to life in prison.
Obama has now shortened 562 sentences — more than the previous nine presidents combined, the White House said. Almost 200 of the prisoners had been serving life sentences.
White House counsel Neil Eggleston says Obama will continue to grant clemency to inmates during the final months of his presidency. He says those receiving commutations were imprisoned under antiquated, overly harsh sentencing laws.

McCarthy: ‘The Constitution Does Not Bar Religious Tests in Immigration Law’
Andrew C. McCarthy, Senior Fellow at National Review and former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, writes in National Review that Donald Trump’s proposed temporary ban on Muslim immigration is not unconstitutional. McCarthy notes that “properly vetting would-be immigrants’ religious beliefs is not only legal — it would be wise and prudent.”
Of all the ignorant pronouncements in the 2016 presidential campaign, the dumbest may be that the Constitution forbids a “religious test” in the vetting of immigrants. Monotonously repeated in political speeches and talking-head blather, this claim is heedless of the Islamic doctrinal roots on which foreign-born Islamists and the jihadists they breed base their anti-Americanism. It is also dead wrong.
The clause said to be the source of this drivel is found in Article VI. As you’ll no doubt be shocked to learn, it has utterly nothing to do with immigration. The clause states, “no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States” (emphasis added). On its face, the provision is not only inapplicable to immigrants at large, let alone aliens who would like to be immigrants; it does not even apply to the general public. It is strictly limited to public officials — specifically to their fitness to serve in government positions.
This is equally clear from the clause’s context. Right before the “no religious Test” directive, Article VI decrees that elected and appointed officials “shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution[.]”

ATF agents assist Thurmont police investigate 'Pipe bomb' explosion that damaged police SUV
A metal "pipe bomb" was set off and damaged a Thurmont police vehicle early Wednesday morning, according to the department.
Residents began calling 911 at about 12:30 a.m. in the area of Clark Avenue after hearing what sounded like an explosion, according to a press release issued at 9 a.m. Wednesday. A female resident noticed a Thurmont police vehicle parked nearby was damaged and alerted authorities, who eventually concluded that an explosive device of some kind had been detonated, said Thurmont police Chief Greg Eyler.
"One of my officers went to his residence and parked his cruiser on the street as he usually does at about midnight and then around 12:30 one of the neighbors heard a big explosion," Eyler said. "… It looked like a metal pipe bomb was detonated on the hood and the windshield of the cruiser."
No one was injured by the explosion and Thurmont Police were receiving assistance from the Frederick County Fire Marshal's Office, the county sheriff's office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Eyler said.

Did Obama pay a $400m ransom for American prisoners?
US delivered $400m in CASH stashed inside wooden pallets to Iran on same day as American hostages were freed but the Obama administration DENIES it paid a ransom
The US secretly flew $400 million stashed inside wooden pallets out to Iran as four Americans were released from Tehran - but the Obama administration insists it was not a ransom payment.
The pallets, which were stuffed with euros, Swiss francs and other foreign currencies, arrived in Tehran on January 17. That same day, four US citizens were released in exchange for seven Iranians held in the United States.
Officials denied any link between the payment and the prisoner exchange, saying the deal was part of a $1.7 billion settlement to resolve a failed 1979 arms deal, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Bur critics claim that the clandestine multi-million dollar payment was part of the hostage negotiations.
They also point to the fact that President Barack Obama failed to make any mention of the $400 million when he announced the prisoner exchange.

Caught (Again)! Hillary Lied About Disabled Children
Hillary Clinton is caught in another lie — a whopper she told the Democratic National Convention in her nationally televised acceptance speech last week. The Democratic presidential candidate said that she went "door to door" in New Bedford, Mass., to find children who were not in school.
"I remember meeting a young girl in a wheelchair on the small back porch of her house," Clinton said. "She told me how badly she wanted to go to school — it just didn’t seem possible in those days."
But the Democrat who was mayor of New Bedford back in 1973, when Hillary supposedly met the disabled girl, says it couldn't be true.
"It's not true," former Mayor Jack Markey told the Boston Herald. "I'm even a Democrat, but the truth is the truth."
The Herald report continues:
"We would take handicapped kids in a small van to schools that could take them," said Markey, who served on a local board that helped disabled children before he was elected mayor in 1971. "I would have been aware of a child needing help to go to school. The truth is we had access." ...

SALISBURY, N.C. – For the fifth year, Cheerwine and The Avett Brothers are teaming up to host one legendary concert to raise funds to benefit three deserving nonprofits (charity partners to be announced by end of August).

“It's bigger than just establishing a number and asking people to help us reach it,” says Joy Ritchie Harper, head of marketing for Cheerwine. “What it comes down to is getting to know these organizations and understanding how we can support each charity’s unique mission. Each year we work to understand their needs and areas of support with the hopes we can make a difference. People can visit our Indiegogo page to watch how their donations will be used.”

Dr. Gorka: DNC Ignores ISIS Because Its Existence Disproves Multiculturalist Narrative
Dr. Sebastian Gorka, National Security Editor for Breitbart News and author of the best-selling Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War, appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” with guest host Tucker Carlson on Friday night to discuss the way terrorism was downplayed at the Democratic National Convention.
Carlson observed that ISIS and terrorism were scarcely mentioned during the convention, and wondered if it was a matter of Democrats not understanding the threat of Islamic terrorism, or being unwilling to acknowledge it for political reasons.
“If you look at the last seven and a half years, I think it has to be the latter,” said Gorka.
“I want to be careful here, Tucker,” he continued. “I don’t want to lambaste all Democratic voters in America. The DNC is really a function of the left-wing machine. It’s part of a Party that’s been captured by the radicals.”

In Poll After Poll Trump Leads Clinton Among Independents
General election polls of the nation and battleground states consistently show Republican nominee Donald Trump besting Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton among independent voters.
This lead among independent/non-party affiliated voters for Trump is also found in polls where Clinton leads overall. For example, in the most recent poll of national voters from Public Policy Polling, Clinton leads Trump 46 percent to 41 percent. Among independent voters, however, Trump leads 42 percent to 35 percent.
In another recent national poll from CNN/ORC, Trump leads Clinton 44 percent to 39 percent. This poll has Trump leading Clinton by 18 percent among independents, 46 percent to 28 percent. Libertarian candidate Gov. Gary Johnson has 15 percent of the independent support in this poll.
A poll of voters nationally released last week from YouGov has Clinton ahead of Trump 40 percent to 38 percent. That same poll has Trump leading with independent voters 38 percent to 26 percent.

Hogan and Franchot to Encourage Shopping During Tax-Free Week, August 14-20
State Sales Tax Waived for Qualifying Clothing and Footwear Under $100
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Governor Larry Hogan will join Comptroller Peter Franchot in Frederick on Wednesday, August 10, to promote and maybe do a little shopping in advance of the annual Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week, which takes place August 14-20. During that week, any single, qualifying article of clothing or footwear priced $100 or less – regardless of how many items are purchased at the same time – will be exempt from the state’s 6 percent sales tax.
“I’m delighted Governor Hogan will join me to let Marylanders know about an opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money as they shop back-to-school sales for their children or themselves,” Comptroller Franchot said. “A break on the cost of clothing and shoes can make a real difference and help stretch family budgets. Local retailers also benefit with increased foot traffic.”
In addition to Frederick, the Comptroller will be promoting Tax-Free Week with visits to stores in Takoma Park, Baltimore, Frederick, Towson and Cambridge. Cailey Locklair Tolle, president of the Maryland Retailers Association, or Maddy Voytek, legislative and membership assistant at the MRA, will join the Comptroller at several businesses.
“Tax-free week is an excellent opportunity for Marylanders to take advantage of apparel and footwear tax savings priced at less than $100 per item,” Tolle said. “The week provides a much-needed boost to brick-and-mortar retailers in our state and we encourage all consumers to support their local businesses.”
Report: Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Mgr John Podesta Sat on Board of Company that Bagged $35 Million from Putin-Connected Russian Govt Fund
Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta sat on the board of a small energy company alongside Russian officials that received $35 million from a Putin-connected Russian government fund, a relationship Podesta failed to fully disclose on his federal financial disclosures as required by law.
That’s one of the many revelations from a 56-page report released late Sunday titled “From Russia with Money: Hillary Clinton, the Russian Reset, and Cronyism” by the non-partisan government watchdog group, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon holds the same title in GAI and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as GAI’s president.
Both the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal ran stories on the newly released report late Sunday evening.

The Emerging Trumpian Majority
First of Three Parts
1. Populists vs. Elitists
Something big is happening in American politics—bigger than this election. And so even if we can’t precisely predict the winner this November, we can know the general contours of American politics in the decades to come: populists on one side, elitists on the other.
But first, let’s start by thinking about what we’ve seen at the party conventions in the last two weeks: the Republicans nominating Donald Trump and the Democrats nominating Hillary Clinton. And maybe it’s best if we’re sitting down, because the changes are such that we could get dizzy.
Here’s the July 28 headline in The Washington Post: “We are witnessing a visceral shift in the way the parties speak to the country.” The story continued, “The country’s two major political parties, emerging from their conventions to square off in the general election, are speaking to Americas unrecognizable to each other in voices that sound like a political and ideological role reversal.”
“Role reversal”? Well, actually, that’s overstated: The Republicans are still on the right, and the Democrats are still on the left. In Trump’s Cleveland, for example, the police were the heroes, frequently applauded by GOP delegates, as well as by speakers; yet in Hillary’s Philadelphia, the cops were regarded with stony silence.

Former Md. Atty. Gen. Joe Curran tries to stop robber with cane
BALTIMORE (WUSA9) — Former Maryland Attorney General Joe Curran is still fighting crime at 85 years old, according to a statement from the Attorney General’s Office.
Joe Curran, Jr., Assistant Vice President of Claims, remembered July 11. On that day, he witnessed a robbery and an assault, and then tried to stop the suspect using his cane.
“As long as I’ve lived, I’ve never seen anything like that happen,” Curran said. “I’ve never seen anyone being attacked like that.”
He said he was at the dry cleaners picking up shirts when as he was leaving, he overheard a man asking the female clerk behind the counter how much it cost to have shirts and a suit cleaned.
But Curran forgot his cane on the counter by the cash register and returned to the store to retrieve it.
“When I walked back in, I noticed the man who had inquired about pricing was now standing behind the counter and had the female clerk in a chokehold,” Curran said.

Multi-Drug Resistant TB Spikes 75 Percent in Massachusetts
The number of cases of very dangerous, multi-drug resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) reported in Massachusetts spiked 75 percent in 2015, to seven cases, up from four in 2014, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
In 2015, 87 percent of the 192 cases of active TB diagnosed in Massachusetts (167 out of 192) were foreign-born, a rate significantly higher than the foreign-born rate across the country that year, which was 66 percent.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health provided no information on how many of the seven cases of MDR TB in 2015 and four cases in 2014 were foreign-born. However, of the 9,421 cases of active diagnosed in the United States in 2014, 91 were classified as MDR. 88 percent of those cases (80 out of 91) were foreign-born. The CDC did not report how many of those foreign-born cases of MDR TB were resettled refugees.

Officials welcome 3-wheelers on Md. roads
WASHINGTON — The autocycle, a type of three-wheeled vehicle, is now welcome on Maryland roads. The state’s transportation secretary held a news event Monday to introduce the latest vehicle to join Maryland’s transportation mix.
“They have merged together a healthy motorcycle and a very foxy-looking car,” said Maryland Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn. “It’s just fun.”
Autocycles are subject to the federal safety standards that apply to motorcycles. But they have three wheels and features common to cars, such as a steering wheel, foot pedals to control speed, seat belts and permanent seats that don’t require drivers or passengers to sit astride.
Virginia approved the vehicles in 2014; it was among the first of about 20 states that now allow the vehicles under various rules.

Hillary can’t stop lying even when she doesn’t have to
Give Hillary Clinton this much: She’s absolutely fearless about lying on national television.
On Fox News Sunday, she again claimed she did nothing wrong in relying on that home-brewed e-mail server, and never sent or received classified material. Then she declared that FBI Director James Comey has confirmed her statements on the matter as truthful.
When Chris Wallace noted that Comey said just the reverse, she countered: “Director Comey said that my answers were truthful and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people.”

When Chris Wallace noted that Comey said just the reverse, she countered: “Director Comey said that my answers were truthful and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people.”
Her aides later “clarified” that she was citing Comey’s statement that she hadn’t lied to the FBI. But the bureau chief’s on record saying her repeated public claims are false:
“Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her e-mails . . . Was that true?” asked Rep. Trey Gowdy at one hearing. “That’s not true,” Comey replied.
On top of that, Comey said, FBI agents found 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains with “classified information at the time they were sent or received.” That includes eight chains deemed “top secret” and 36 “secret.”

Maryland Lays Out Reasons Against New Trial In ‘Serial’ Case
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Baltimore judge was wrong to consider “a novel standalone claim” about the reliability of cellphone tracking evidence in granting a new trial for a man whose murder conviction was re-examined in a popular “Serial” podcast, the Maryland attorney general’s office says.
Appealing the decision to retry Adnan Syed, attorneys for the state contend that retired Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Martin Welch should not have ruled that his initial attorneys were constitutionally deficient because they failed to bring into evidence a warning from AT&T.
The cover sheet says: “Outgoing calls only are reliable for location status. Any incoming calls will NOT be considered reliable information for location.” The first three words — “Outgoing calls only” — are underlined in the fax AT&T sent to Baltimore police.

Right Wing Nationalist Set To Win Rerun Austrian Presidential Race
Freedom Party candidate Norbert Hofer has widened his lead in a Gallup poll ahead of October’s repeat election for the Austrian presidency.
Hofer lost by a whisker in May to former Greens party leader Alexander van der Bellen in an election that Austria’s constitutional court this month ordered re-run given vote count irregularities.
A series of Islamist attacks in Europe and Britain’s decision to leave the EU since the original vote have shuffled the political deck in neutral Austria.
The poll published by the Oesterreich paper on Sunday showed the midpoint of the wide range of support for Hofer at 52 percent — one point higher than a poll in early July found — versus 48 percent for van der Bellen.

Palestinian Goads Little Boy Into Throwing Stones, Urges Israelis: ‘Shoot Him and Kill Him!’
In a video clip posted on social media this week, a Palestinian man is seen encouraging a small child, possibly three-years-old, to throw stones at armed Israeli border policemen, and yells at the Israelis to shoot the boy.
“Shoot him and kill him!” the man shouts, adding that the Israelis are after all “familiar with shooting and killing kids.” He also offers to “bring the other one” – evidently another child.
The man, possibly the boy’s father, prods the seemingly reluctant child, wearing red shorts and holding a Palestinian flag, in the direction of the troops, and tells him, “Raise up the flag!”
Then he tells the child to throw stones at the policemen.
Neither the troops nor the child comply with the man’s wishes: A police officer offers a hand and high-fives the youngster. The child picks up several stones, tosses them near the verge of the road, as the policemen look on.

'Campus Carry' goes into effect as Texas remembers UT Tower shootings 50 years later
Concealed handgun license holders in Texas can carry their weapons into public university buildings, classrooms and dorms starting Monday, a day that also marks 50 years after the mass shooting at the University of Texas' landmark clock tower.
The campus-carry law pushed by Gov. Greg Abbott and the Republican legislative majority makes Texas one of a handful of states guaranteeing the right to carry concealed handguns on campus.
Texas has allowed concealed handguns in public for 20 years. Gun rights advocates consider it an important protection, given the constitutional right to bear arms, as well as a key self-defense measure in cases of campus violence, such as the 1966 UT shootings and the 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech.

Three Injured In Frederick Co. Crash
Three people were injured this morning in a Frederick County crash on I-70, including a nurse who stopped to help the crash victims and fell from the bridge into the Monocacy River.
The injured are identified as Charles H. Williams, 53, of Baltimore, Md., who was driving a dump truck loaded with concrete, Douglas L. Sexton Jr., 58, of Sparrows Point, Md., who was driving a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt, and Angela M. Weir, 47, a nurse at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, who stopped to help the crash victims. Williams and Weir were both flown by Maryland State Police helicopters to the UM Shock Trauma Center where they are undergoing treatment. Sexton was transported by ambulance to Meritus Hospital for treatment.
At 4:44 a.m. today, the Frederick Barrack received a call from a motorist reporting a commercial truck was traveling westbound on I-70 without any lights illuminating the truck. Minutes later, as troopers attempted to locate the truck, a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt struck the rear of the dump truck while both were traveling westbound on I-70 at the Monocacy River bridge.
After impact, the tractor trailer struck the right concrete wall of the bridge before jack-knifing and catching fire. The dump truck overturned and spilled much of its load of concrete. Both vehicles and the debris field stretched across the width of the bridge, requiring troopers to close the westbound lanes of the interstate.
Angela Weir and her husband were traveling eastbound on I-70 when they saw the crash that had just occurred. Being a trauma nurse, she stopped to assist in providing emergency care to the crash victims. Apparently unaware there was no median between the east and westbound lanes at the scene, Weir fell more than 75 feet into the Monocacy River when she leaped over the bridge wall to attempt to cross to the westbound lanes and the crash scene. Her husband called 911 immediately. A responding trooper pulled her from the water to shore. A Maryland State Police flight paramedic arrived simultaneously and assisted with her care before she was flown from the scene.

Mother Of Benghazi Victim: Hillary Clinton 'Kills People'
Patricia Smith, mother of one of the Americans who was killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack said on Monday that Hillary Clinton “kills people.”
Appearing on “CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin” in the wake of Clinton’s Fox News Sunday interview where the Democratic nominee criticized Smith’s recollection of events surrounding her son Sean’s death, Smith said, “I’m very much against the way I was treated. I was treated like dirt. I don’t think the Khan family was treated that way but I was treated like dirt, I was called a liar.”
Clinton “went on TV many times, and nodding her head thinking that she is so wonderful and she knows everything and I know nothing and I was just imagining this. I don’t imagine my son getting killed. I don’t imagine that at all. But why would she say that to me and what would she say to the Khans?”
Later Smith added, “We have a rotten government.”

Route 50 Drawbridge Gates Damaged By Winds; Lane Closures, Flooding Make Monday Night Traffic A Nightmare
OCEAN CITY — The severe storm that popped up unexpectedly in and around the resort area late Monday afternoon created a domino-effect of sorts around the downtown area that snarled traffic well into Monday evening.
The late Monday afternoon storm included several inches of rain in a short amount of time, a tornado warning, hail and flash flooding in and around the downtown area prone to high water during even modest weather events. Ocean City officials had already cut off traffic to south of the Route 50 Bridge when an accident occurred at the base of the span, further complicating the heavy volume of traffic pouring into the resort. Route 50 eastbound was at a standstill and, anecdotally, a typical 10-minute run from West Ocean City into Ocean City turned into an hour.
Complicating the issue even further was damage caused to the two drawbridge gates on the westbound side of the bridge. State Highway Administration officials said on Monday the two drop-down gates on the westbound side of the bridge that prevent traffic from crossing when the drawbridge is open were snapped off by heavy winds during the sudden Monday afternoon storm and needed to be repaired, causing SHA to close a portion of the westbound lanes on the bridge.

NY Fed Finds 15% Of Americans Have Negative Net Worth; Student Loans Contibute To Record US Wealth Inequality
Two weeks ago, the White House released a report that led to loud heckles among the more pragmatic economic community. As the WSJ described its conclusion: "he growing stack of $1.3 trillion in student debt is helping, not hurting, the U.S. economy" (there was much more in the full report which to many was nothing short of propaganda seeking to spin a $1.3 trillion debt bubble into a good thing).
Today, none other than the NY Fed took the White House to task with a surprisingly accurate (to an extent) analysis, based on a Survey of Consumer Finances, according to which not only do student loans contribute substantially to an emerging problem in US society, namely rising negative household net worth, but is also a key driver behind wealth inequality.
This is how the NY Fed explains the methodology:
With respect to assets, we ask respondents how much money is in their defined contribution plan(s)—including 401(k), 403(b), 457 or thrift savings plans—and Individual Retirement Arrangement accounts, which cover the most common channels through which Americans save for retirement. We also ask the respondents about their total savings and investments, such as money in their checking accounts, stocks, and other financial instruments they may possess. Homeowners are asked to self-appraise the current value of their home. Finally, we ask for self-appraised valuations of any additional land, businesses, vehicles, or other assets the respondent’s household may own. The measure of total assets is then the sum of financial wealth, retirement wealth, home value, and other assets.
With respect to debt, we ask respondents about their home mortgages and home equity lines of credit, as well as non-housing personal debt in categories such as credit card, student loans, and auto loans, among others. The sum of all these debts constitutes our measure of total debt. We classify households as having negative wealth if their total debt exceeds their total assets, according to our measurements.

Hillary’s Latest Headache: Skolkovo
The subject of Russia’s influence in American politics has been a hot topic of late, particularly as the MSM continues to link Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin and the DNC hack. However, a report published by the Government Accountability Institutepresents a new twist in the Kremlin-US political ties. It all started with the 2009 “Russian reset” touted by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
As detailed in a WSJ op-ed by Peter Schweizer (author of the GAI report), after President Obama visited Russia in 2009, both nations agreed to “identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the Russian and American people.”
One such project was Skolkovo, an “innovation city” of 30,000 people on the outskirts of Moscow, billed as Russia’s version of Silicon Valley. As chief diplomat, Hillary was in charge of courting US companies to invest in this new Russian city. Russia, on the other hand, had committed to spend $5 billion over the next three years (2009-12).

U.S. Border Protection Agcy. Advertises SAFE ZONES for Illegal Aliens
Just about any illegal alien can avoid arrest by following these simple rules, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) advertises in a post on its website’s homepage.
Providing a virtual "how-to" guide for illegal aliens in its“Sensitive Locations FAQs,” CBP explains that immigration laws are not to be enforced at any of a wide range of designated “sensitive locations” – so that illegal aliens may be “free” to live their lives “without fear or hesitation”:
“The policies provide that enforcement actions at or focused on sensitive locations such as schools, places of worship, and hospitals should generally be avoided, and that such actions may only take place when (a) prior approval is obtained from an appropriate supervisory official, or (b) there are exigent circumstances necessitating immediate action without supervisor approval. The policies are meant to ensure that ICE and CBP officers and agents exercise sound judgment when enforcing federal law at or focused on sensitive locations, to enhance the public understanding and trust, and to ensure that people seeking to participate in activities or utilize services provided at any sensitive location are free to do so, without fear or hesitation.”
“This policy is designed to ensure that these enforcement actions do not occurat nor are focused on sensitive locations such as schools and churches” without meeting special exceptions, the ICE Sensitive Locations Policy states.
Locations covered by these policies include, but are not limited to:
Schools, such as known and licensed daycares, pre-schools and other early learning programs; primary schools; secondary schools; post-secondary schools up to and including colleges and universities; as well as scholastic or education-related activities or events, and school bus stops that are marked and/or known to the officer, during periods when school children are present at the stop;
Medical treatment and health care facilities, such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, accredited health clinics, and emergent or urgent care facilities;
Places of worship, such as churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples;
Religious or civil ceremonies or observances, such as funerals and weddings; and
During public demonstration, such as a march, rally, or parade.
So, almost any illegal alien can escape arrest by either walking with a second person (a march), attending some type of class, or finding a nearby church, medical facility or school bus stop.

DNC Prays to 'God of Many Names'
Methodist pastor invokes one world religion
An invocation by a Methodist pastor at the Democratic National Convention last week called on Hillary supporters to pray to a “God of many names.”
“O God of many names, we know that You call us to work hard to bring people together,” Reverend Bill Shillady opened his remarks during the last night of the Democratic National Convention.
The comments carry eerily ominous tones portending a one world religion, in which one prescribed “God” would rule all, and dovetail sentiments espoused by Pope Francis calling for “a new humanity” and insisting Christians and Muslims both “worship the one God…”
