Thousands of North Carolina residents were recently told they had positive coronavirus tests, but it was a mistake.
More than 6,700 individuals in Mecklenburg County in North Carolina were told in a text message sent from Mecklenburg County Health Department on Friday that they tested positive for COVID-19 and over 500 people were told through a county email that they were also infected with the novel coronavirus. But the results were incorrect due to a technical error by Health Space, the company they use for contact tracing, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“An error during routine maintenance last Friday resulted in a county data vendor sending erroneous texts and email messages to people saying they were positive for COVID-19," the statement on the county website said.

This is the problem with assembly line testing.
It's OVER, Folks. 2 weeks to flatten the curve 6+ months ago, and a virus that went around the world in a month 9 months ago hasn't exposed itself to you yet?
Just stop. and when told to wear a mask, use Elon Musk's response, "Your request has been received" and go in anyway!
This is EXACTLY what is wrong with assembly line testing. There is all this talk about asymptomatic people being able to spread the virus. That is complete and utter hogwash. People without symptoms who test positive most likely aren't at all positive. This virus behaves like all other coronaviruses. The only difference is it's 'novel'. That means since there was no immunity within the 'herd' it is more easily transmittable. Easily transmittable is to NOT be confused with being any more contagious then any other contagious respirator illness.
