Maryland cop charged with stealing from dead person

PASADENA, Md. - A police officer in Anne Arundel County is suspended without pay and faces burglary charges after allegedly stealing guns and other possessions from a dead person's home.

Police say Corporal Jacob Miskill, a five-year veteran of the force, took the items in April after responding to a death investigation in the 1600 block of Wall Drive in Pasadena.

If found guilty, make an example out of him.

In every walk of life there are good people and bad people. Just because one or some are bad doesn't make them all bad. For pete's sake grow up!

Of course he justified it in his own mind. They were only guns, no one in the family probably cared about them or safety. He just didn’t want to see them fall into the wrong hands right? Lol
Send this and any other public servant that betrays the people’s trust to jail for a minimum 10 years.

That’s right they are, glad you finally admit it. They wouldn’t have to supplement their income if crazies didn’t demand to defund polic

Northwest Woodsman: I made a guess and based upon the behavior, I suspected an ethnic, however, the name didn’t fit so I googled him and found that he is Caucasian. It happens.

You can't steal from a dead person. You can steal from a dead person's estate, but not the dead person. A dead person can't charge you with anything, or testify against a thief. If the person was dead already, then the crime was against the dead person's estate. Just a little legal nit-picking.

This happens all the time! Stuff gets missing after the police are there and the family can't find the "Gold Coins, special guns, Stamps" and the cops know nothing about it. My mom died in her home and police were called for a welfare check on her by me. (I live in Colorado), when I got to her house all her expensive jewelry was gone, dad's coins, and of course, no one knew anything!

Say it ain’t so. I still can’t get use to them driving a cruiser. First thing comes to mind is call it in thinking he or she stole it.

It takes a crook to catch a crook. Cops and crooks have the same DNA.
