Baltimore County police release bodycam video in May shooting

DUNDALK, Md. — Baltimore County police released bodycam video in a fatal police-involved shooting on Skipjack Court in Essex on May 16.

County police and state's attorney officials gathered Wednesday morning at the Police Training Academy at the Community College of Baltimore County-Dundalk campus to release the video and update the investigation.

Baltimore County police Col. Robert McCullough updated the investigation to say that an anonymous 911 caller reported a nuisance call on May 16 for a crowd of young men who were drinking in the neighborhood.

A suspect vehicle was seen driving erratically by a man later identified as Robert Johnson Jr., 29, of Garrison.

Officer First Class Knight requested backup and got out of his car to make contact with the driver of the car. The driver, Johnson, got out, dropping what appeared to be a handgun and picked it up, McCullough said.

Well, there it is, direct evidence. The MSM will be silent.

No longer a threat running away and the gun could have been empty. Murdered for drinking. I want everyone fired including the staff at the hospital.

Northwest Woodsman: Regardless of the justification, that our officer will be ruined because he shot a federally protected endangered specie.
Here again another incident involving a group of peaceful Scandinavians. It is obvious that they are unable to control their emotions and reflect on the potential consequences of their impulsive actions.

Well if this keeps up, enrollment in law enforcement will be at all time lows. Who would want to put themselves in that type of position?

Snowflakes - hell no

So the officer should have just asked if the gun was loaded and wait for the answer? You are a joke. I'm sure you are now a BLM follower.
