I’m surprised people aren’t talking about air filters in places like these. Large clusters of cases are in nursing homes and lower income apartment complexes. Most common air filters will only filter dust and animal dander. Check the ratings on them. All of these places share recycled air throughout the building. So no matter what they do to distance or isolate they are still going to come in contact with it if they are using cheaper air filters and one person in the building is sick
Maryland has the same policy as NY. You must take them. Hospitals should never let them leave until healthy. Nursing Homes are not set up for it. Half of all death in America and nyc are nursing homes. WHY.
I don't know if that nursing home got any better but it used to be horrible. Years ago we were talked into putting our father in there for rehab after a small stoke. He got there before we did and when we got there it stunk so bad we were gagging. there was no way we were leaving our father there to live in that stench. Animal shelters don't smell as bad. We then made arrangements for rehab at health south and got him the hell out of there. I don't know how anyone could allow a family member to live in such stench. I have since been in other nursing homes and some stink and some don't. So if the place stinks they must not be doing a good job overall of keeping the place clean.
Sorry but bs just plain old bs. Tired of all the Scare tactics.
Northwest Woodsman: Be sure to read the article above this one then decide for yourselves whether or nor this is part of the BS fraud perpetrated against us for the last three or four months.

Amen!
Someone is not following protocol if there are 19 staff cases and 45 resident cases.
I was sick in January and no one else in the house got it because I distanced my self and sanitized everything I touched.
If I can do it, so can they.
i have witnessed just withing the past week, employees walking into rooms with no masks.most of the infected patients didnt have masks on. no onder it is infected.
