Joe Biden’s team is reportedly vetting the popular Minnesota senator to be his running mate. Klobuchar’s standing in her own critical toss-up state and her political compatibility with Biden make her an excellent pick. But, but her chances have suddenly plummeted.
Her problem: she isn’t black.
A recent op-ed in the Washington Post authored by seven female black activists demanded Biden choose an African-American woman as running mate. They wrote, “we resurrected Joe Biden’s campaign,” and “We are here to collect.”
In the wake of Biden’s offensive claim to radio host Charlamagne tha God that, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black," those voices will get even louder.

None of those are what the majority of the country would consider as presidential material. Joe's not getting younger - in fact, he's becoming less viable every time he opens his mouth.
I don't think the majority of the country is ready for another experiment in affirmative action with two categories at once..... The last one was a miserable failure that we will work for additional decades to recover from!
Biden wants to use a black woman for a couple reasons
Klobuchar would be an excellent choice. If joe selects a black woman, he loses my vote for sure.
Damn it, I was hoping for a red, white and blue male/female.
Yes, he needs to choose someone who the majority of voters are comfortable with this person possibly becoming President if something were to happen to Biden. It shouldn't be just because of skin color. Klobuchar is intelligent, sensible and got farther in the Democratic debates/primaries than Kamala Harris.
He should lose your vote anyway. He should pick the most qualified person available. Black white purple man woman.
How about the most qualified person? Selecting someone for vice president due to their race is ridiculous. Democrats have done worse though and their stupidly just seems to build on itself.

Don’t forget he already bribed the women voters with a female Vice President. He is easily distracted from making a good decision.
Affirmative action at its worst-a lot of white women have worked hard supporting democrats over the years and have gained political experience and political positions. Now they are being passed over because black women say they saved Bidens campaign and are due a black female vp as pay back. And yet they could not/did not support black or female candidates for president.
Biden is infirm, mentally & physically. Despite his push up challenge he hasn't been hitting the deck.
So more than any presidential ticket in my memory (1960, Nixon & Kennedy) Joe is approaching the starting gate looking very unlikely to finish a term, should he be elected. His running mate choice thus assumes much greater import than usual ticket balancing considerations because this VP prospect is likely to end up in the oval office without actually being elected president. Scary stuff.
None of the female candidates in the Democrat primary clown car had executive experience of any substance (AG, DA, law prof) before their elections. Oddly, Bernie, Spartacus and Bootie had experience as mayors of cities of varying size. The whole crazy crew flamed out, with Democrat voters, and thus Joe sits babbling in his basement as the presumptive candidate.
Klobuchar never got traction and headed for the showers early; don't thinks she ever earned a delegate. So she might be popular with her family, but that's about it.
Joe painted himself into a corner by pandering that he'd select a female, thus prematurely junking a number of male VP prospects who might have brought stronger resumes to his ticket.
He and his handlers are looking for a rabbit in a hat, and the zoo is empty.
Joe should not have promised a women cause the smell of her hair will be too distracting. He should go for a nice clean articulate black man.
