JUST IN: DOJ drops case against Michael Flynn, in wake of internal memo release

The Justice Department on Thursday moved to drop its case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, in a stunning development that comes after internal memos were released raising serious questions about the nature of the investigation that led to Flynn’s late 2017 guilty plea of lying to the FBI.

The announcement came in a court filing "after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information," as the department put it. DOJ officials said they concluded that Flynn's interview by the FBI was "untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI's counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn" and that the interview was "conducted without any legitimate investigative basis."

The federal judge overseeing the case would have to make the final determination to dismiss it.

NOT sweet.

He needs to be vindicated. I think they are just trying to make this 'go away' so they won't have to be humiliated by the reality presented in the documents.
They should not only be humiliated, they should be convicted and jailed.

They RUINED General Flynn's life. They owe him millions in restitution, as well as for his son.

MAKE THEM PAY!

You would think the dimocraps would be squirming, but no, they double down and claim it is political to let him go.

Dimocrap projection at its best!

No the judge should not close it till all the memos and dirty moves by the government are brought out for all to see what laws, all laws, these criminals broke going after Flynn.

He should immediately sue them all, and criminal charges should be brought against these people that did this to him.

This is the first of many dominoes that will fall. Gen. Flynn is vindicated & DOJ has someone at the helm who can & will get results legally.

From this point on, as they peel the onion, the conspirators will start and end each day wondering which of their former colleagues has turned state's witness. This will accelerate as we head toward November.

Recall both Obama and Biden were present when Comey got his marching orders to brief the President-Elect on the Russian dossier.

Plugs will not recall; thinks the topic was Russian salad dressing. Obama will disavow by claiming he first read about it in the newspaper.

Just connect the dots and be patient, and prayerful.
