A man was shot dead outside of a Minneapolis pawn shop Wednesday night as violent protests over thedeath of George Floyd rattled the city, authorities said.
Minneapolis cops are investigating reports that the victim was a looter shot dead by an owner of the business, police department spokesman John Elder said at press briefing early Thursday.
The man was found with a gunshot wound outside of Cadillac Pawn and Jewelry on East Lake Street near Bloomington Avenue at about 9:25 p.m. local time, Elder said.
“That is one of the theories that we’re working into,” Elder said in response to a reporter questioning if there’s any credence to the narrative that the owner shot dead a looter trying to break into his store.
“As I said, the body was found outside. And we have a couple of different scenarios as to what may have happened,” Elder told reporters.

"If", is such a small word, but using in the context of riots, shootings and lootings it becomes the biggest word in the sentence. What "if" George Floyd had NOT used a suspected forged check? What "if" he had just paid cash? Probably nothing would have occurred. I am not condoning the police action. It is without explanation so far. But, getting back to my point - cash vs forged check. I pray for all involved. It's just some of the people make some of the wrong decisions that cause problems for themselves and others.
Can anyone spline to me why one would destroy where they rely on their groceries, medicine, automotive needs? I don’t get it, but I’m a mere minion. Also, spline why a business owner supporting his family off of said property should watch his livelihood be ruined by someone that doesn’t know or give a chit about George Floyd. The out of control subjects are just having fun looting (free). And if I may add, this incident is not about race. It is about the public’s view of a incident they know nothing about.

Speculation is counterproductive and MSM no longer does honest investigative reporting. All MSM has a political slant. How is the public to receive factual, unbiased FACTS so that we can develop informed positions. This is where our system has broken down. I will not tolerate brown, black, or any other people being slain in the false name of justice, nor will I condemn honest law enforcement officers with integrity. The real villains are politically motivated reporters and networks who contort facts to serve ANY political agenda.

What facts are being contorted? My opinion is based on the video, taken by a bystander not a reporter, of police officers killing George Floyd in a horrific display of police brutality. There is nothing the media can do or say to change what I see with my own eyes.
Good thing that this is not taking place in Maryland. Hogan would have come down hard with the National Guard. Anyone could see that the rioters and looters were not practicing social distancing. When looting the Target store they were not spaced six feet apart, some were not wearing masks. They also ate inside the Wendy's-just before burning it.
There are alot of wanna be tough guys now that become cops. The culture of law enforcement is changing to meet the societal change, which is more aggressive than ever is some places. It's a shame innocent people like Floyd get caught up in this.

I agree with you 100%. WTF do these thugs commit the crime if they can't do the time. And he didn't die because he was black, he died because he committed a crime. Why wasn't he working? Don't say corona because corona didn't put that fake $20 bill in his hand. I'm hurting because of corona but I'm not committing a crime.

Just wait until the autopsy shows that George Floyd had narcotics in his system and/or he had an unknown medical condition.
Mare Jacob Frey is the one responsible for the destruction in Minneapolis. He is the one that encouraged the protests and told his officers to stand down.
