US Capitol intruder arrested after eluding police and breaking a window

A man who broke into the U.S. Capitol and broke a window last night has been arrested.

Fox News reporter Chad Pergram mentioned the break-in as a footnote to the end of coverage of a proposed economic stimulus to aid businesses amid the coronavirus outbreak that has killed thousands and slashed global markets over the last month.

"There was an intruder that broke into the U.S. Capitol sometime overnight tonight, eluded U.S. Capitol police, got all the way to the second floor of the U.S. Capitol, and broke a window outside the House chamber," said Fox News's congressional reporter Chad Pergram. "This is a window that looks out onto the National Mall. That's about all I have on this. That happens very rarely here on Capitol Hill."
