National Vietnam War Veterans Day

March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. It was made official in 2017 by President Trump through the "Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017," and encourages Americans to display the U.S. flag in honor of Vietnam veterans.

In honor of these veterans, read about "The 'Real' Forrest Gump: Medal of Honor Recipient Sammy L. Davis" here.

Many of these guys were drafted and had to go to war. The liberal elites and youth bought into the communist propaganda and not only protested the war, but abused our own soldiers when they returned home. Disgraceful! It's about time our Vietnam veterans are being shown the respect they deserved 50 years ago.

Amen and Amen. I was Nam era and served in the USN but saw Mediterranean duty. Our Nam vets are heroes and deserved much more than they got. The COs and draft dodgers should be ashamed as many of them derided our heroes upon their return. The Nam vets did not ask for this conflict but performed a duty none the less. I did not experience any of that stuff but can't even begin to imagine the hell they lived through.
