Maryland state courts to stay closed through May 1

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF) - Maryland state courts will remain closed through May 1, according to a new announcement.

The courts were originally closed through March 16, but the coronavirus pandemic has prompted a new order to extend closures.

What happens to a person arrested for DUI? Just leave the person in jail, in limbo, until the courts open back up?

Bond reviews will still happen, and people can still get Protective orders!

My divorce hearing was supposed to be this next Tuesday. However that is now on hold until further notice and we will be notified of the new hearing date. Possibly May. Just depends on covid situation. Thankfully things are amicable.

Jury duty POSTPONED. Doesn't eliminate it. Funny how some people interpret what they read.
