COVID-19: An important update regarding All Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. Locations

Goodwill Supporters:

To support public health efforts and abide by Governor Hogan’s mandate, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. locations will remain closed until April 5th. Our government contracts remain open due to their “essential” status. All employees will continue to be paid through next week.

Tentatively, we plan to re-open stores on Sunday, April 5th and all other operations on Monday, April 6th. Be advised that this is subject to change and please continue to monitor our communication channels for updates.

We ask that you continue to hold your donations until we can re-open. Leaving your donations at a closed store will force us to dispose of them, impacting our ability to be the best stewards of your donations and decreases resources available to support the communities we serve.

We will continue to update you as more information is made available.

With appreciation,
Lisa Rusyniak
President & CEO

Everyone needs to simmer down and take a deep breath. Some vitamin C would help a whole lot.Panic weakens your immune system as much as stress.

While we are talking about organizations that are supposed to be out there for not only our good in this country look into the local Salvation Army and why they have not contacted their senior members since March 12th, do they not even care to do a health check on the ones that they are aware of have real concerns. It is the humane thing to do they are a Christian based organization. The things you post about food drives is one thing but what about your own people? Do a story on that Delmarva Now.
