Two youths were arrested after an off-duty officer was brutally beaten by a gang when he intervened to stop them from stealing a woman's phone.
The incident happened when a young woman approached a gang of youths who allegedly stole her cellphone at around 8 pm at Bay Street Mall, California on Black Friday.
When she asked for her phone back, the gang became aggressive and began to assault her.
An off-duty California Highway Patrol officer, who wanted only to be identified as Greg P, then intervened to help the woman and the group subsequently began to violently assault him.

Wow no suprise as to what race the yuths are? Kinda makes me angry hostile to see the cowards pounce on him like that.id rather see them scatter as shots ring out and he drops a few of these pieces of excrement. Saving us money having to inprison these fine upstanding citizens.
The correct term in not youths, it is thugs. Might as well start their life of prison time now.
Emeryville is the town. It's always had its racial problems.
Wish the off duty officer had concealed pistol and used it as necessary.
I would have easily knocked them out with several combinations. But then again my hands are registered. thank you.
Like Maryland
the Democratic clowns try to prohibit you from defending yourself
PERMIT DENIED (stamp from MSP)
Please shut up.
Off duty law enforcement officers do not need concealed carry permits
