(DOVER, Del.) — A 59-year-old Ocean View man purchased a $25,000 a year for life winning LUCKY FOR LIFE® ticket from Wawa #856 in Delmar. The man, who wished to remain anonymous, typically buys $10 worth of LUCKY FOR LIFE® tickets when he plays the Lottery, but on this occasion, he decided to buy $20 worth of tickets.
“I usually have a ten-dollar bill with me when I play,” the man said. “When I purchased the winning ticket, I only had a twenty, so I thought, why not?”
The man played the Quick Pick option on the September 30 drawing and matched five numbers. He decided to take the lump sum payout of $390,004 before taxes. After taxes, the man will take home $296,403.
When asked what he was planning to do with his winnings, the man said he is going to start his retirement a little earlier than expected.
The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on October 4, 2019.

25k a year thats it?..who could live on that..yeh lump sum was the way to go. Now will again get taxed on the 296k, on income tax. Lotteries should be totally tax free to the winners. The state lotteries are just as bad as the mob with the skim
He better to go with the 25k a year. If man live 20 more years that 500k. Now he got 296k probably gon blow it in a year on trucks and boats or a woman going to get it away from him.
Guess that's why the game is not called "Win enough money to live off of the rest of your life". Tell you what, when you win it, turn it over to me since it is not enough for you. I'll take good care of it for you.
You can live on it if you own your
house and have no other Great expenses.
I Know it can be done because I do it!
