Joe Arpaio is looking to get back in the saddle again as the former Arizona sheriff said Sunday that he plans to run for the position he lost in 2016.
The former Maricopa County sheriff, who was pardoned last year by President Trump for a federal contempt-of-court conviction, pledged to enforce his tough on crime polices in a statement.
“Watch out world! We are back!” Arpaio said. “I will continue to stand and fight to do the right thing for Arizona and America, and will never surrender. Those who break the law will have to deal with this Sheriff.”
Arpaio is known for housing immigrants in outdoor tents in the 100-degrees-plus temperatures of the Phoenix area.

Northwest Woodsman: confined to tents during the summers in Arizona’s should be a disincentive for anyone to commit a crime. Obviously they can’t resist submitting to their criminal tendencies no matter how uncomfortable the result will be. I’ve lived in southern Arizona and believe me, you would not want to be living in a non air conditioned building.
God Bless him! Go Joe!!
I hope Joe does become Sheriff again one of the best, watched him often on Bill Reilly and Hannity on Fox News great man wish he was on Trumps team he would get things done and no nonsense. We need more law enforcement like him Chief Duncan could learn a thing or two and she would never loose good officers like she has, I hope she learns from King our new mayor to come, it won't be "hug a thug" but arrest a thug.
Sheriff Joe has balls! More like him are badly needed. He doesn't take no sh*t off of hoodlums.
