Yet again, another example of misrepresenting and skewing the argument to tarnish someone you don't like, and to change a position that makes you feel uncomfortable.
Capernicks position is that flag should not be on the shoes because it represented America when America supported and used slave labor to drive it's economy. That's it. It doesn't matter if the very Virgin Mary herself stitched it together.
Ya'll are distracting and distorting. AGAIN.
No matter, since Capernick has come out on this issue, Nike stock has risen 2%, sales have increased 4% in the last year since he became spokesperson, and they saw 3 billion in profit.
The all mighty dollar and capitalism don't care what you think... supply/demand. As long as this is what brings in money, expect more of it.
Companies like Nike pay fools like Kaepernick a lot of money to represent their products. Rather than knuckle under to Kaepernick and his kind of idiots they would be better off to insist they respect the American flag and American values. They should educate those idiots and themselves. Doing what's right is always the best idea, Chic-fil-A is a prime example of that.
6:41. Great conservatives ended slavery many years ago and great conservatives ended segregation many years ago. 10 years ago a progressive president decided to use race baiting to decide and fundamentally change this country. It is people like Kaepernick that choose to use that race baiting to enrich themselves. If he hates this country so much feel free to leave. I hear Africa is nice this time of the year. And by the way Nike a company owned by progressives is also getting rich off of this race baiting which in a capitalist society is fine if we choose to buy their made in China products.
@July 6,2019 at 6:41 AM. And just what do you think that fool Kaepernick is doing? The same damn thing, fool. He is misrepresenting and skewing an argument to tarnish someone he does not like. Which is white Americas racism and police racism. But what he is against does not exist. Blacks killing blacks EVERY SINGLE DAY, does. Where is he on that? No where, because he will not make a dime on that. Democrats represented America when America supported and used slave labor(and not all of America did, by the way. Shows how much you 'DO NOT' know)to drive THEIR economy. And I will bet he and you are members of that organization. But that's ok when they hand out freebies to you, huh? Selling ya'll souls for trinkets. Consider yourself schooled.
@ July 6, 2019 at 7:15 AM. Wait till he wakes up with a knife in his chest some morning from her. She is using him and his money to further her demonic religion. And he is too stupid to realize it.
Might I submit into evidence the posts on this page as evidence that this POISONOUS partisan rhetoric is the problem? That people can't focus on what is actually being argued? The point the man was trying to make in the first place.
Seriously, how many replies to the original post addressed the actual point. NONE of them. How many diverted and argued something completely unrelated. ALL of them.
I don't blame you. I blame your media sources. I blame partisanship. I blame the state of discourse.
All of you, go back to the top, and try again. I have faith in America, we CAN figure this out. Try again.
Some here don’t know Colin’s illustrious history. He was raised by a rich white family in Wisconsin. His angst is all garbage as he’s never lived as a skid row survivor. He’s lead a life of privilege. If anything, Kaepernick is merely using his “heritage” to make up for the fact he was a crappy quarterback. Replacing talent with race baiting. What some people do to be famous? Staggering.
You miss the point as well. It doesn't matter if he was the Queen of England... the point he made is that you shouldn't use that flag because it represented America during a time when America was run on a slave labor economy.
Nowhere, in your post, did you address his actual argument. You distort and distract.
How about actually addressing what he is saying for a change.
Here's a start, here is what doing that might look like: He's right, this was the flag while the countries economy was driven by slave labor. The question is does this disqualify its usage for other purposes? The flag is not generally seen as representing such a thing, it is thought of as a great achievement for this nation and for the woman who made it. When the flag is used, it is not to communicate "we support slave labor", so, while his assessment is correct, I think it is misguided. Though it was the flag during a slave labor economy, this is not how it is generally defined, nor thought of.
See how EASY that is? To actually address the persons argument without creating strawmen, ad hominems, or distorting what the point is?

His girlfriend is America hating muslum Linda Sarsour.

He doesn't seem to have a problem with child slave labor as long as he gets a paycheck from Nike.

But remember one thing though. Those shoes will be worth a lot of money when they decide to release them. Might be the reason they were pulled, too.
He doesn't know his history because he has nothing in his head to learn with.
