CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, Va. (WAVY) — A famous horse barn on Virginia’s Eastern Shore was destroyed after it went up in flames Tuesday night.
The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company said in a Facebook post it received a call for a fire on Ridge Road just before 10:45 p.m.
Responding firefighters found the Misty barn at the Beebe Ranch was “completely engulfed in flames” that were shooting about 30 feet into the air, the post said.
The post said the barn, which was Misty’s home when she was alive, is a complete loss as a result of the fire. Four horses, a goat and a cat were all accounted for following the fire.

Misty herself is a fire waiting to happen. She looks like the local that stuffed her never worked on anything bigger than a squirrel. She's no Trigger. I cannot believe this tiny Island village banks on this. It's suppose to go to pony care but that Fire Dept. is outfitted like a small third world army. It's comical and I am not surprised it's not a reality show. I know people that have bought these feral ponies. They never live long and break hearts. The entire herd is sick now and just let it go. It's cruel to maintain them just as a tourist attraction.
5:37 You're such an idiot!! Funny, but an idiot!
The entire herd is not sick 5:37. When was the last time you were there and actually saw the ponies, instead of getting your information from here say?
