MAUI, Hawaii (FOX 5 DC) - A 35-year-old Maryland woman who went missing after going on a hike in Hawaii several weeks ago has reportedly been found alive.
According to the Findamanda Facebook page and a family friend, Amanda Eller was found injured in the forest Friday. Her family says she was found by their own search team captains who were in a helicopter searching the general area when she spotted them and waved them down.
Eller's family says she was "deep in a creek bed between two waterfalls." She is now "doing great" and even talked to her dad from the evacuation helicopter.

Looks very healthy for someone lost for 16 days. Must have gotten lost with a backpack full of food and water.
That whole park is only 3.5 square miles. How could anyone with half a brain get lost there for 16 days? Apparently intelligence is not a requirement to be a yoga instructor.
Ummm...the entire island of Maui is only about 39 miles long and 13 miles wide plus there are 145,000 people there. The forest where she got lost is less than 4 square miles and is covered in hiking trails. The beach is visible from any high spot in the forest. She could have walked to the beach in less than an hour just by following the stream. She left her cell phone in her car at the trailhead. She is a yoga instructor.
Either she is the dumbest person in the world or this is an attempt to gain publicity or maybe money via GoFundMe.

It says she was injured. Maybe she couldn't walk anywhere.
She was injured, ended up in a ravine and lived on plants and water. Some of your comments are beyond ignorant and ignorance breeds ignorance...sad for U.
You go out in the woods and live on plants and water for 2 weeks and see how emaciated you are. I call BS
