As a vet I am pleased to see so many public displays of remembrance. Being Viet Nam era however I am disappointed in how the country reacted to our men and women returning from that terrible and unpopular conflict. Our men did not chose to be there, many were drafted but fought valiantly none the less with so many paying the ultimate price. The likes of public figures Fonda and John Kerry discredited the honor of those people, and their actions were traitorous. Even today Kerry consorts with the enemy, Iran, and Fonda thinks her betrayal was virtuous.
I went to the Wicomico War Veterans Ceremony today and it was a wonderful way to pay respect for all the Veterans who gave all for our freedom. Well organized and executed service. My thanks to all who participated. God Bless.
