MD Auto Insurance Fund says it also made payment to 'Healthy Holly' deal

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Another organization has reported making a payment to the "Healthy Holly" book deal.

Maryland Auto Insurance Fund issued a statement "in response to media inquiries," saying it discovered that its former executive director authorized a $7,500 check "payable to Healthy Holly, LLC, 326 St. Paul Place, Suite 300, Baltimore, MD 21202 for its outreach program with the Associated Black Charities” on August 20, 2012.

"The Board of Trustees of the Maryland Auto Insurance Fund and the former Executive Director parted ways in 2015. The current Board of Trustees and executive team were unaware of the payment until today," explained Maryland Auto Insurance spokesperson Dan Franko.
