The Senate passed a resolution on Thursday to end the president’s national emergency resolution. The bill passed through the Senate as well as the House; however, both times the resolution did not receive enough votes to override a presidential veto.
President Trump has already threatened to veto the legislation.
Although most Senate Republicans voted with the president and affirmed both his constitutional authority and his initiative to secure America’s southern border through a national emergency declaration, twelve Republicans decided to join Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to end the national emergency.
The twelve Senate Republicans who voted with Democrats to end the national emergency include:

- Mike Lee (R-UT)
- Susan Collins (R-ME)
- Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
- Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
- Mitt Romney (R-UT)
- Jerry Moran (R-KS)
- Pat Toomey (R-PA)
- Rob Portman (R-OH)
- Roger Wicker (R-MS)
- Marco Rubio (R-FL)
- Roy Blunt (R-MO)

Maybe they're NOT RINO's. Maybe they believe in the sanctity of the constitution and presidential powers granted therein.
Smart people all, I would love to hear argument against it. Personally I'm for the wall anyway we can get it, but I would like to hear what they have to say.

Barr stated and the Veto signing; it's perfectly legal to do what our president did and is trying to do. it Doesn't go against the constitution in any way. take a look at the presidents who used this legal power for far Less so called National Emergencies...almost laughable. President Trump has declared a REAL National Emergency and the DEMS and some of the Republicans don't want to grant him use of that legal power. RINO's on steroids here. Call these people even IF they are not in your state, as they also are supposed to represent ALL American Citizens and Certainly defend our open borders/keeping us safe and secure.

There's a greater or lesser amount of political posturing in both the House vote and in the Republicans in the Senate who voted with the Dems. Gives them the chance to go 'on record' against the proclamation safe in the knowledge the President would veto it, and that there would not be enough votes to override his veto.
There have been in excess of 30 Emergency proclamations by a number of previous presidents, and some of them are still in effect. The drama is all because President Trump is serious about confronting and controlling the problem.
If any Democrat president, or president wanna-be had made the exact same proclamation the FakeNews conglomerate would be singing their praises. They are all about their socialist party agenda and not one bit in favor of our country or its Constitution.
I am truly disappointed in 3 of those and I hope they never get re-elected and would Oppose them from here on out they are Rand Paul, Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio their feet are in sinking sand or will be, the people will remember and so will your fellow republicans.
Did Congress not authorized these actions in the 1970's and never revoked it? What Democrats objected to Obama shipping Some where around 1.3 Billion to Iran in cash? Did they approve that expenditure? Did Obama go around the Congress, since it was done in secret?
