More than 13,000 people on Medicaid in Arkansas failed to report whether they had worked in February, according to figures provided Friday by the state, putting them on track to lose coverage under the new work requirements.
Arkansas has work requirements that mandate that people work, take classes, or volunteer at least 80 hours a month to be allowed to stay in Medicaid, a government-funded program that provides medical coverage to poor people. Advocates for people who were kicked off Medicaid have challenged the rules in court, and they may be put on hold by a federal judge later this month.

The state of Maryland needs to do this too. To many generation of welfare families are abusing the system. Should also have the " SNAP " program included. I live on a very limited budget and can't afford some of the food that I see the " SNAP " people buy. I see them use the SNAP card and buy stuff that is way out of my range.
The only time I ever agreed with Bernie Sanders was when he proposed taxing Wal Mart, McDonald's and other mega stores for every dime their workers took out of Welfare. We subsidize these mega chains to pay people nothing. Wal Mart and McDonald's even have the audacity to have trainings on how to apply and receive handouts/gimmedats. It's rediculous my tax dollars go to these companies. That's not socialism, that's ending corporate malfeasance. Do your research on the subject before pillorying my comment. Enough!
Do those numbers include Hillary and Bill, who are currently out of work?
McDonald's is Government subsidized? Owners are wealthy - expensive cars, RV, private school for 2 kids. Expensive vacations, 600 thousand dollar home. No wonder - government hand out.
Oh poor babies. You mean they might have to work the way the rest of the world does?
