Salisbury resident found not guilty of rape and assault

After about an hour of deliberation last Thursday, a Worcester County Circuit Court jury found Kyle Andrew Sterling, 30, of Salisbury, not guilty of second-degree rape and assault charges stemming from an incident reported on May 13.

Sterling was arrested last May after a woman reported being attacked while sleeping in a condo in the first block of 76th Street.

According to the police report, the woman, along with Sterling and another couple, had been drinking that evening before returning to the condo.

The woman claimed after going to sleep earlier than Sterling, she awoke between 8-9 a.m. to discover Sterling lying beside her in bed.

Police said the woman reported, “I woke up and he was inside of me.”

What happens to the accuser now?

Nothing will happen to accuser. It does not say she lied about it. It says he was found not guilty. Does not mean he did not do it just found not guilty in the court of law. Should all accusers of crimes get charged because defender gets found d not guilty?

Maybe the accuser lied

same question I have...the accuser must be held accountable...

Actually it means HE DID NOT DO IT.

Awe. How the pendulum turns. You sound unhappy the guys innocent. If the jury or judge found him NOT GUILTY means he's innocent. PERIOD!!!

Sounds like to me the "the Christian choir boy" took advantage of someone under the influence. @6:06 I guess O.J was innocent too??

Two couples out for a night of drinking and returning to someone's hotel or living quarters means there is a high probability of sex occurring. That's a fact, I'm sick and tired of this Bullsh!t #MeToo narrative.

Guess what, I'm in my 50's and been dating for many years except for the 10 years of marriage and I've never been turned down. Many times it was the woman who made the move. I date many younger women and they are the most aggressive out there.

Do you need an expert witness on these types of cases just let me know.

It would have been nice to have a real journalist write this report. If was boring and left out too much information. Nothing accurate about this damn article.

I know this. What I meant was this does not make the accuser guilty of a crime. I had someone break into my vehicle years back. I called the police. Few weeks later they arrested someone. In court he was found not guilty. It just means they did not have enough evidence to convict him, not that I was guilty of anything. That was the only statement I was trying to make. If you think NOT GUIlTY meNs innocent, then you don't understand how the law works

@10:37 it's idiots like you that prove the point!! What exactly are you bragging about?? The fact your in your 50's and your still out in the bars trying to be cool?? Or "you 'da man" that supposedly gets laid Everytime you go out socially?? Your definitely one self absorbed shallow POS, you've proved that

@10:37 are you serious?? You actually took the time to boast about such a lifestyle?? You do realize that the ONLY reason you share such company is because of a little bit of stability and I'm sure yo're more than generous buying them drinks. Remember that old guy in the bars when you were in your 20's that everybody knew and swore that wouldn't be them?? Guess what idiot THAT'S YOU!!

Another bill cropper protege!! What exactly are you teaching them out there in Hebron??

This will eat this guy alive the rest of his life. It's not about guilty or not guilty it's merely " beyond a reasonable doubt". Have to agree O.J. was innocent too

Have to agree @3:40. For someone like Kyle who's been put on a pedestal his whole life this will be tough. He's been accused of rape and like it or not there are alot of people who think he might have done it and won't be so forgiving. Personally the guy has and is reckless at times so like stated it's merely "beyond reasonable doubt"

The man was smart enough to refuse to talk to the authorities about the complaint. He decided to let them make a case out of it, if they could. They couldn't. Only two people in that room (voluntarily). Smart move on his part. So much for #MeToo.
