I was in his shoes many years ago, with the conundrum of being a local hero or doing my job as a police officer.I was unable to balance it out and do both,so I did my job and made occasional enemies.

Bless you brother. We're put in those situations because we're trained to handle them the best way possible. Sadly, we aren't trained for the human factor.

Tell that to the cops who give you a bad name, who beat and abuse and rape people, who falsify evidence to lock you up, just to lock you up... Say that to all of the innocent people who's lives were ruined on planted evidence, who id a criminal no matter what and even criminals wear badges yet nothing happens to them... Say that to all of the people shot in the back or had their homes raised and were killed on fake evidence or nothing at all... Tell that to the people who you all tell, my life is worth more than yours so I can violate your rights even kill you for me to go home alive and safe!!!!! Say that to the cops who fist bump and laugh after the beat an innocent person, who most people on here would assume is guilty becasue they read a false narrative... Where are the cops hearts then???? Where are the cops hearts when they give a poor homeless many a citation they know he can't afford????????

YEAH REAL HERO'S who have to huddle up to FIGURE OUT What to charge you with, when your not doing anything illegal or against the law, yeah REAL HERO'S there!!!!!

Thank you for your service and for being the great officer, man and Christian you are and thank God for all our first responders glad we now have a president that appreciates that. This is the main reason I do not respect Obama who I voted for twice, when I saw him defend young thugs that died and blame the police, and 1st responders before there were even trials, I lost heart and lost respect for a President I had believed in at one time. You are the men and women that make a difference and this world needs to appreciate you all more. God Bless.

3:11 it sounds like you have issues with the police. I have trouble believing all of the "innocent" sounding stories you tell. During my life I have engaged in a few activities I should not have and I have encountered the police several times. Always treated them with respect. Never saw any behavior as you mention. Maybe the "innocent" people that you mention did not treat the officers with respect. Maybe they ignored the officer's orders. I have noticed that a lot of people nowadays think they do not have to obey the police. This usually does not end well. Every action has a reaction. People really do not want to take personal responsibility any longer for anything. It is always the other guy's fault. Maybe some of the blame for the problems you name lies with the "innocent" people you mention. Just saying.
