More people die driving while on drugs than alcohol, new report reveals

Nearly half of all Americans killed in 2016 car accidents had drugs in their systems, a new report reveals.

Just under 40 percent of the fatally-injured had marijuana of some form in their systems and 16 percent had used opioids just before their deaths.

As marijuana comes legal in more and more states in the US and the opioid epidemic rages on, research suggests drugs are responsible for more fatal car wrecks thanalcohol.

Almost half of deceased car accident victims had one or more drugs in their bloodstreams in 2016.

On the other hand, the number who tested positive for alcohol has fallen since 2006, according to a Governors Highway Safety Association report released Thursday.

Politians and AMA / Doctors said and continue to say Marijuana is not intoxicated drug and traffic deaths would not increase because of this drug. HAHAHAHAHAH. This drug today is at least 10x the strength of the 60's / 70's.

Marijuana stays in your system for up to 30 days, so not sure there is a causation with that correlation.

Here we go. Distorting the facts for an agenda. "Marijuana in your system" is not an indicator of impaired driving. It only means someone may have been exposed to Marijuana in the last 30 days, or more, because it can be detected long after the exposure in urine, hair, and body tissue samples (post mortem). Means nothing to causation of an accident. As more and more states accept recreational use of Marijuana, the number will surely go higher. The reefer madness people and the police organizations that have so much to lose over legalization are not going to give up without a fight.

Uh huh.
Statistics.
"...just before their deaths."????
And since drugs stay in one's system for up to a month, who are the geniuses who know WHEN a drug was taken??
Please don't say "concentration levels" or PPB's....that's all BS. They know it, too.

I can see we are headed for Nazi checkpoints where blood samples will be taken from all innocent drivers to make sure no crimes are possibly, maybe being committed).

You cheered. Now, the noose will tighten further and soon your cheering will be a quiet gurgling....
I know, I know-- you never do anything wrong.
I can't wait for them to start messing with YOU and you start telling them "I've done nothing wrong!!".
It's going to be hilarious. For a couple of seconds.
Keep cheering.

When you listen to the side effects of most medicines they are all drugs. Everyone is on some sort of drug recreational or " medicinal " in various altered states of sobriety and mindfulness.
