Dirty Jobs’ Mike Rowe believes that many Americans are dissatisfied with their lives because they no longer appreciate the intrinsic value of work.
As The Daily Caller's Amber Athey reports, in a pre-recorded interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that aired Friday, Rowe accused the American media of convincing people that they will be happier if they choose to work less.
“Look, the best-selling books right now in the self-help section and in general claim to have the solution for how you can work less,” Rowe explained.
“Most of the commercials on TV ask a tacit question, you know, how could you be happier? And the answer, of course, is retire a little sooner or work 35 instead of 40 hours.”

The real challenge is to ask whether the employee would be willing to work longer for more money.
You already know the answer, right?
Jonny mause just came out with a statement waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Sorry for voting against the 2nd Amendment.
Actually we are tired of getting paid crap, asked to break the law, and no benefits. If this is the way it's going to be I'm not busting my a##. If I am going to be poor either way, I am not making you a millionaire.
I like Mike Rowe but he is off the mark on this one.
Truth is find a job you truly like and put in 100% effort eveey day. It works for me.
Fortunately for us Mexicans still have a high regard for work
The point is you get psychological benefits from working. Remember God told Adam to work in the Garden of Eden BEFORE the curse. I have always said that if I ever won the lottery I would not stop working. I would probably change to a job that I could not make a living at but I would still work.
Employers don't value employees either. Many of them don't want to work you full time. Means they have to pay benefits, so it is cheaper to hire you on a contractual part time basis and pay you squat!
Ain't That The 100% Truth 8:00 !!!!
Well, it's not like you can find a full time job on the Eastern Shore that actually pays anything unless you are connected.
