During the March 15 airing of Breitbart News Daily, Gun Owners of America’s Erich Pratt stressed that students need more protection than that which comes from a “No Guns Allowed” sign.
Pratt was reacting to the left’s two-prong approach of keeping teachers defenseless while trusting criminals will obey signs that say guns are not allowed on campus.
He suggested this same approach is being demonstrated by Congress as a whole, inasmuch as they just voted to spend incredible amounts of money on new school security measures while overlooking the “cheaper” proven solution, which is armed teachers.

How many of you gun nuts shoot at least monthly and with targets that shoot back? The idea that mostly liberal teachers with minimal training and range time are going to be effective with a handgun at taking down a subject that is actively shooting is a JOKE! Research police involved shooting where the perpetrator was not hit by the police. These LEO train and a range certified but have difficulty in hitting their target when confronted by return fire or a stressful situation.
I am a gun nut 1:42 and agree with your statement. I do carry just to have a sporting chance. I am proficient and would only use it when certain of the target. I wouldn't want to chance hitting the innocent. No brush shots for me.
I think in most cases tragedy could have been avoided if some people who had suspicions or knew something had said something and followed up to make sure those in charge had done something.I just don't see why it should be so difficult.If there is a nutcase in school you can be sure a lot of kids know it.
All this for and against guns has nada to do with guns. We have ALL lost our civility.
Solution? Fyi approximately 400 million registered guns and approximately 500 million unregistered guns.
Even traffic signs don't work all of the time.

Being a CCW I shoot at the range at least once a month about 300 rounds. Your statement has some truth to it, I can't deny that. I'm not sure it wouldn't happen to me. But, here is the other side of that statement. Statistics show that just idea of a CCW is a deterrent for a shooter or a personal threat. I can personally attest to that as I was walking to my car late one night, right here in a local venue parking lot. Plenty of light, other cars, and some people around. The last place I would think to be mugged. Well, it happened. As I walked past a car on the way to mine, A man came from the car I just walked by and asked if I had a light, typical to get me to stop. Another man approached me from the other side and pushed me as he said "give me your wallet and phone and no one gets hurt". I retreated a few steps and reached for my CCW, as I said " don't come any closer, I have a gun and I will use it". " Now walk away and no one WILL die tonight". They stopped dead in their tracks, turned and ran. My point is, just the show of force, not even drawing my weapon, prevented me from being mugged. The last thing I want to do is shoot someone.
So much great logic involved in this new gun debate, like take a person that dies from lung cancer from smoking, so they go after the logical thing that caused the death, the Zippo lighter!
Yup, if the lighters had been banned, than he couldn't have lite up a tobacco cigarette.
