Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Crash In Princess Anne

(PRINCESS ANNE, Md.) — A man died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Princess Anne.

At 7:50 a.m., troopers from the Princess Anne Barrack responded to a single-vehicle crash, located at Route 13 North just north of Loretto Road in Somerset County, Maryland. Troopers arrived and located a 2006 Toyota Camry that struck a guard rail and traveled off the roadway into a ditch.

The driver, identified as Michael Anthony Carter Jr., 18, of Gwynn Oak, Md. was transported by ambulance to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. Speed, impairment or weather do not seem to be factors in this crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
