Americans strongly back giving illegal immigrant “Dreamers” a pathway to citizenship — but a new poll found they also strongly back the other changes President Trump is pushing to build a border wall system, eliminate the visa lottery and curtail the chain of family migration.
The Harvard-Harris Poll, taken in the run-up to the government shutdown, even found huge support for cutting the level of legal immigration, which stands at more than 1 million a year, to less than half that.
The findings challenge the Gang of Six immigration deal Democrats and some Republicans tried to push through the Senate last week, only to see their efforts derailed by Mr. Trump.
That plan, authored by Sens. Lindsey Graham, a Republican, and Richard Durbin, a Democrat, called for a generous legalization for Dreamers, a small downpayment on Mr. Trump’s border wall and no significant changes to chain migration. The plan would have eliminated the visa lottery, but pumped those visas back into the legal immigration system to be used for a new amnesty for people from countries that suffered natural disasters.

According to the Judicial Watch blog,"Immigrants entering the United States illegally through the southern border are quietly being relocated to different parts of the country on commercial flights, high-ranking Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. In the last few days alone, groups of illegal aliens boarded planes at airports in Texas and Arizona accompanied by a taxpayer-funded government escort in civilian clothes to avoid drawing attention...In both locations the illegal aliens appeared to be in their late teens and were escorted by a Health and Human Services (HHS) chaperone. Judicial Watch reached out to HHS for comment but did not hear back from the agency." Our tax dollars at work--for illegals who do not legally qualify for benefits. Whatever it takes for more votes for Democrats.
I am sick of tax $$ going to give illegals free everything. If they don't follow the path to citizenship, they should be deported.
Trump and the Republicans should ask for 15 Billion, settle for no less then 10 Billion for the 2 year budget, end chain migration & visa lottery, cap illegal immigrant dreamers at 1 million and they must apply & take path to become an American citizen. If Democrat's don't agree then NO DEAL!
If you kill an illegal are you guilty of a crime? This person is an intruder and you'er defending your country from invasion.
I can't see how the media, liberals, left wing nut jobs, etc. can continue to resist our president. After a year of progress that only helps them too and will get better as he has more time in office. They should be ready to jump on The Trump Train or cut out of here to a S-Hole country. Up to them.
